New Snus user, wanted to say One love

Sup everyone, Im a new snus user and just wanted to say one love to the peoples on this forum. i stumbled upon camel snus frost at a shell gas station near tampa, florida a few days ago and i loved it. I haven't touched a cig ever since. after reading all these forum topics and snus sites im now considering ordering the Wise citrus and menthol snus strong portion. i love menthol/mint tobacco (either cigarette or hookah tobacco). Any body a menthol/mint lover that loves a certain menthol/mint snus?

I like metropol pepparmint vit portion (tho not as an all-the-time snus).
I haven't tried any other mint flavors, tho the catch eucalyptus is a bit minty and i like it too once in awhile. There are others out there e.g. general wintergreen, kicks wintergreen and V2 (offroad) has at least one wintergreen flavor. Hope this helps

Metropol Pepparmint is the best I've tried. I try to always have a couple of cans on hand.

Note about Metropol Pepparmint, though: these are full-size white portions, which is kind of like two of the Camel Frost put together. You get a strong mint flavor, and your awareness of the differences b/t camel and Swedish snus kind of comes on subtly. The flavor is far less artificial in Metropol than in Camel.

nothing wrong with Camel Frost (it's where I started), but I've lately come to the conclusion that for many, Camel snus is more of a starter product.

Nick & Johnny has both. But it's not apparent upon putting it in. The strong tobacco taste is there first. but if you manipulate it about in your mouth it really comes out. it's like a hidden flavor, but not subtle, it's definitely there. That's my experience so far. and I"m referring to loose snus. not the portions.

Catch Eucalyptus is probably my favorite snus. There's some others I like better for specific moods, but if I could only have 1 snus, the Catch would be it. One thing you have to keep in mind is the Swedish makes won't be like the Camel at all. The Swedish brands are saltier, and the flavors are more subtle, and natural tasting.

I really liked the Camel Frost, but it was more like a modern high powered mint than a tobacco product. The Catch has a nice eucalyptus flavor, with some menthol cooling that feels great on the gums. It's kind of like Fisherman's Friend cough drops, but not nearly as strong.

I also am a big fan of Catch Dry Eucalyptus. The mini portions fit neatly and are discrete, they don't make you start drooling and slobbering like some other snus, and the flavour is refreshing to your mouth. Combined with the tobacco and the nicotine, what could be nicer? Probably my favourite, along with Ettan, which is a good strong nothing-but-tobacco full-sized portion.

FYI, you mentioned Tampa. If you live in Florida, there's a good chance you could find General Wintergreen white portions here:

                Edward’s Pipe & Tobacco Shop 3235 Henderson Blvd. Tampa 33609 813-960-4925

                If you go to
http://www.swedishsnus.com/smna_us/ and go to the Store Locator (the US Map on the right side) and pull up FL, you'll find a pretty sizable list of places that sell General.

                Hopefully, one's close to you!

PS - Forgot, most likely they'll have Catch Dry Peppermint as well, at least according to Swedish Match's site. That may be worth a try.

I've had Catch eucalyptus...didn't turn me on at all. I can go for menthol/minty smokes...but not really into the smokeless variety of it.
It's not terrible, but it's sort of funky with the tobacco taste I think. It has a sort of flat flavor to it. I'd rather it be more pure eucalyptus/minty flavor than have that taste of tobacco mixed in. Which N&J seems to pull off rather nicely, strangely enough. It's strong tobacco taste and then the mint/menthol flavor takes over and almost replaces it..or at least goes well with the particular tobacco flavor it does have. Plus the nicotine is rather potent.

You're very fortunate to have a shop that close that stocks General/Catch. Don't go overboard, though! Buy a couple to start with

                      Glad I could help!
