    Anne Pressly murderer gets LIFE?!

    http://bit.ly/NNvN8

The guy who murdered the new Anchor here in Arkansas a while back (http://network.nationalpost.com/np/b...n-her-bed.aspx) was found guilty today, and was given LIFE in prison?

    There is no justice.

He tried saying he had a hard child hood, and his mom was on crack...blah blah blah, BS. He knew what he was doing.

    I'm pissed.

Life in prison is a lot more torturous than any method of execution.

Execution to me seems like the easy way out.
As long as life in prison for life without the possiblility of parole means just that, I think it's a far more fitting punishment.

All kidding aside, I'm against the death penalty. I'm for it in theory, but there's too much state sponsored fraud to trust the legal system to do the right thing.

What if they weren't guilty? The prison system is full of people that are in there due to judicial incompetence and outright fraud. How do you pay someone back for a year of torture? How much is that worth?

Maybe... But the law is there to be abused by the system. Define "caught red handed". The crime was witnessed by somebody? Perhaps that person has an axe to grind. A cop saw them? Well we know they always tell the absolute truth, right? ;^)

I just don't trust the lives and well being of people to other people. If I've learned nothing in 41 years, I've learned that humans are self serving garbage, and I won't trust any bureaucracy to do the right thing, or administer "justice".

life in prison isn't as severe. i imagine scum like that get complacent, get a job in prison, buy snacks, read books, do hobbies. death would certainly be harsh punishment.

I'm old school, eye for an eye. But it is a good point - death is the easy way out.

Her dad said it best in the interview tonight, "He's going to have nothing to do but sit in a 6 by 9 cell for the rest of his natural life, and think about what he did. And the only rest from this he'll get is when he leaves Tucker Maximum in a pine box."

                            I was like, wow.

Ya know.....just because you kill one person doesn't necessarily mean you are a bad person. My buddy murdered 7 people in the Browns Chicken Massacre back in 93 and he was always a really nice guy. Well..... untill he went on his rampage. Apparently he did it for kicks. Idiot. He got a life sentence. He should have gotten more time....
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
