That's what I've been told! But I don't think I need a whole bunch of them at my age :P

The hubby is already saying something about another, but not me! But if, and that's a big IF I did get another, I think it would be on my thigh.

I've got 9 in random places all over me. The worst was the right side of my back.

I told everyone that I'd only get one. Then only two. Then three. Then four. Now I'm shopping around for an artist for my fifth. I love watching while it is being done. I find it kind of addicitve. Now piercing...that's some painful stuff and I've only ever had my ears done, lol. I'd rather be tattooed again any day before ever having anything else pierced.

                  (chelsea fc ftw)

i am usually more apprehensive about piercings as well, even though the pain is much more temporary. it seems contradictory - poke me with a needle thousands of times, but don't put one through my skin, lol.

Now you'll have to start getting snake tattoos and combine the two loves, lol.

I was in a similar vein of thinking when i went to get my first tattoo, i had an idea i'd get a few through out my life, but didn't realize how into them i would get.

Got my first about four months after turning 18, second about a year later, maybe a little less. I was hooked after the second and started thinking of grander ideas. Went in with an idea for my third and fourth at the same time and ended up getting them worked on at the same time. For whatever reason (cash and just life) i took three years off and now am getting my fifth one done, another large one, got it started yesterday and couldn't believe i had waited so long on it.

I just went with the daughter to get her first one...she says it WILL be the last one. She actually passed out during it! Knew I should've given her one of my xanax before we went, hehe. She did have it finished though!

gah! my ex used to steal vics from me to get his work done, and if he couldn't get a hold of that then his brother would give him oxy. i'm not a huge fan of using prescriptions to manage tatt pain - the pain is part of the experience! however, if it gets too bad, i have found that 2 extra strength excedrin 45 mins prior does really well.

I didn't take anything before mine...figured that I survived natural childbirth twice with no meds that I could handle a half hour of being stabbed with a needle  But I'll admit, it wasn't exactly like being tickled!

I thought the funniest part though was when I asked the artist today if he did piercings too...he said "No, because I'd pass out piercing someone!". Which is why at his shop the piercings are done downstairs where he can't see them being done :P
