First of all, your current "strong missile defense system" has failed quite a few tests, making it not so "strong."

Even disregarding this fact, this thinking is outdated. The current Russian ICBM goes into space, breaks apart, and drops a dozen nukes on a dozen different cities. You may or may not be able to intercept missiles; you have zero ability to intercept gravity-fed terminal-velocity bombs. Everyone dies.

Navies are worth absolutely nothing these days. What you want are submarines - and every Soviet submarine is well-equipped to nuke you into oblivion. As are yours. The point being - no one can presently counter a submarine-based ICBM.

Fuel constraints? Really? The Japanese Kamikaze pilots had no such concerns. Every nation can find a person willing and able to sacrifice himself for such a cause. All you need is a radar-silent jet... And guess what? We Russians make and sell a lot of those...
Where's your point here? The threat of nuclear war is such a massive one that any country with even slightly sane leadership knows not to even consider it. Even if you obliterated a country, the massive amount of fallout spread by global weather patterns would probably piss off many more countries, even entire continents. It's a no-win situation.

People don't bring grenades to knife-fights unless they want to get themselves killed as well.
The "point" was to poke holes in Sgreger's following assertion: " If we can stop ICBM's or other long range missiles from reaching any American cities, we are pretty much invincible."

Invincibility implies impunity; a nation that cannot be attacked can, itself, attack anyone at will.

Your take on mutual assured destruction (which I agree with) does not paint the Empire (or any other nation) as being "invincible." Rather, all will be too afraid to attack each other for fear of reprisal. This is an optimal situation, since it will mandate world peace. The last thing I want to see is an "invincible" Empire.

Once again, you come through with a very ignorant take on reality. So, Muslims should go and live in traditionally Muslim nations? Nowhere else? Does this mean that the Imperial Christians should also pack their bags and go back to Europe? Or is it a double-standard? I am confused by your logic (or lack thereof).
Faust, I believe Tom was referring to you and me lol, because the two of us, in a shocking display of agreement on a few arguing points in this thread, answered the call to defend the entire Muslim diaspora against blanketing and all-encompasing accusations of terrorism and the practice of the more brutal and extremist aspects of Sharia Law. I may be wrong though, the man has ceased to make any sense to me for some time. Tom, forgive me if I'm wrong, and bite me if I'm right.

And Judge, don't talk to PP like that. Ever again. You will die.

You can't take things too serious or personal on a forum. Sometime I write stuff just to get a reaction. But I do think it's rather trendy these days to not recognize the specific extremism of Islam, which often comes about to sound like defending it.
