So I was playing my PS2 last week, which I've had since the damn thing came out, when all of a sudden, whats that smell? I look, and there is white smoke pouring out of the damn thing. As soon as my hand hurriedly went for the power cord, POP! Something inside of it, well, popped, with a big bright flash and one last puff of smoke. I guess I'm lucky it lasted as long as it did.
Actually I think you guys jinxed me, as in another thread, people were talking about how many busted PS2's they went through, and I laughingly stated that mine had worked perfectly since the day it was released.
Godsmack. Ain't karma a bitch....
So I broke down and bought the PS3. Actually I went to WalMart at 5AM on Black Friday to get it. (If you knew me you would know that it takes an act of God to get me into WalMart, let alone on Black Friday.) I paid $299.00, it came with the 120 Gig slim PS3, iNFAMOUS, Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray Disc, and one controller. Good deal, no? I also picked up Grand Theft Auto 4 for $10.00, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for $25.00. Now I just need to get Modern Warfare 2.
Damn. I feel like I've been living in the dark ages rockin' the PS2 for so long!
As you know from this thread http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?t=7336&highlight= I just bought a 52" Sony LCD with CineMotion and MotionFlow technology, and 1000 watt 7.1 channel surround sound, and gaming with this setup is absolutely intense! Way more than I expected. I had played MW before, so I knew how good the graphics were, but the one that blew me away is the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. Its freakin' unbelievable. At some points you can actually see the pores in Batman's face. Nucking Futs!
The game storylines are pretty amazing too. Most of you have probably beat the campaign in MW by now. I jus did last night, and that last scene of the game where you're lying on your back after the explosion, watching in slow motion as the "bad guys" are methodically executing everyone in your squad with a single shot to the head, and the Captain slides you the gun to take them out as your last act in the game, just absolutely blew me away. Unbelievable. I almost couldn't sleep, it was so damn disturbing. Especially on that big ass screen, you feel like you're IN the game.
Anyways, just thought I'd brag a lil' bit, as I'm freakin' stoked!
BTW: Vegan, I hit you up on there like you said to, though it looks like you haven't been on in awhile.....
