    Hot, spiced, red wine sides???

I just picked up a bottle of Augsburger Christkinslmarkt Gluehwein or 'redwine with spices added.' I am saving this for Christmas Day and I am sure it will go wonderful with my Christmas snus! I've never had hot spiced wine so I have no idea what types of food to serve with it, for my guests. Any suggestions???

Glühwein with potato pancake and apple puree is a good tip. Actually I think that Glühwein has to be enjoyed on it's own or with something that neutralizes the sweetness.

I'm no big fan of Glühwein. It's a "one or two cups per year thing" for me, a Christmas-ritual. It's a real treat, but nothing that I like to enjoy too often. Desirexe, you maybe should try it before you serve it to your guests. It's kinda an animal of it's own kind.

      Cheers!

Thanks for the tips! I'm off to search for recipes now! My guests are just my family members so if they don't like it, that just means more for me! I know I'll drink it even if I don't like..there is just something about Christmas Day, food and alcohol - the 3 just go so well together! Thanks so much again for the quick replies!

I bought a bottle of Glogg today, and this Swedish Christmas Soda, Julemuste? Can't recall, it's in the fridge gettin' cold.
