Urgent help needed from our dear members

Hi friends, In a nutshell, snuson.com needs some updating that will certainly cost the owner. Snuson is solely owner supported as there are no real ads on the site to help pay for the upkeep. To demonstrate to the owner that we need snuson.com up and running we need members to post more comments and show the owner that the site is active beyond members and guests simply coming here to read and learn about snus. We need more interaction of any kind. All snus websites are slow now a days but we need to boost the comments. I'm deathly afraid without more action that the owner may decide not to invest in the updates and snuson.com will then be gone. So please post any comments, jokes, whatever. I know a lot of you guys come here to check in and read recent comments almost everyday so while you are here please post something....hopefully snus related but not necessary because we are all friends and we have other things we can chat about as well. This applies to guests as well. Please sign up and ask your questions or simply introduce yourself. I believe these updates are pretty serious. Most websites would probably ask for donations at a time like this. Kindly post a comment!

I like hearing what people think about the stuff they try out to compare my tastes against. Not to mention just shooting the breeze, like hanging out at a local tobacco shop but right from home.

I have to say a huge thank you to all of you. While the site is still in a difficult time I'm hopeful it will stay up and active. You all are doing a great job and we so much appreciate it. Its so nice to see all the posts and new members posting as well.

Here is the latest news....we've tried to contact the owner several times and do not get a reply. We are currently using VBulletin 5 and in a very few months that version will no longer be supported by VBulletin. Security patches and updates etc. will stop for version 5. We suppose the site will be hacked off the internet. The admin and myself have talked and have agreed to pay for this but we can't get a reply from the owner. So at this time we are kind of on hold. The Snuson website was sold a while back, I think about 3 years ago, and the new owner has been great to us but lately there is no communication about updating to VB6. This disturbs the admin and myself greatly.

Snuson was created by Aki about 15 years ago because he wanted a place to discuss snus AND ANYTHING ELSE WE MAY BE INTERESTED IN. A social website focused around snus but not solely for snus talk. Aki had other interests/life changes a few years back and let the current admin and myself take over while he retained ownership. About 3 years ago Aki sold the site to a friend that is a major player in snus sales and part of the sale was to keep the admin and myself onboard since we have been here for many years, doing our job and pretty much never bothering either owner. The site has been rolling along with no issues. But we are very worried now that there is no communication from the new owner regarding this important upgrade. No replys to emails.

So all we can do is make the site more and more active and hope the owner sees this continued improvement/involvement and may one day reply. Seeing we all have a bunch of friends here to chat with everyday....I would think it would be somewhat cruel to let the site die. So thats where we are atm.

Keep on snusing and chatting please. When I hear something I will let you all know asap. Thank you all.
