    Election '24

Alright, lets not get anyone banned...but with all that has happened in the past few months, can we have a civil, old school discussion on the election?

I am much more concerned with Amendment 3 (Cannabis legalization in Florida) and Amendment 4 (Women's health rights) than the actual election...

But also Project 2025, multiple assassination attempts on Trump, and Vance VS Biden are concerning.

Y'all got an opinion...or better yet a conspiracy?

Both sides have been galvanized, so either outcome will result in some type of civil unrest most likely. Another cough and cold shut down before November or a "third times the charm" assassination attempt would really have the right blowing their lids. Trump getting in and pushing Project 2025 will have the left going berserk. Especially if he bans hair dye and tells them they cant cut their wankers off and / or to go to church. Of course, if the War expands globally anytime between now and end of next year, maybe the left and right soldiers will have bigger issues to worry about.

I agree on the sides being galvanized. What ever happened to the moderate middle? We need a few more parties to become more mainstream. The right vs the left has gotten old and tired for me.

        They all lie..........
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I'm not black and this isn't 1865 Civil War, but wouldn't mind a modern day Tecumseh to show up, offering me 40 acres and a mule (Or John Deere). Oh yeah, and with wi-fi too, just so I can observe the political hijinks from a place with a nice view.

Why did Jim Gaffigan, during his monologue at the Al Smith dinner recently, speak to civil war in 19 days? Maybe they figure a contested election is going down and people will be going crazy in the streets? I hope they leave my wi-fi signal up throughout. Hope too the store isn't out of popcorn as it is an essential item to stock up on when watching any extended length "movies". Of course, maybe they overestimate how many people really care, as most are busy with other things, and this winds up being a 4 episode sitcom that goes kaput pretty quickly.

I gotta be honest, I’ve never really been a prepper or interested in any of that sort of stuff but the way things are going. I’m definitely reevaluating what it looks like to “Homestead”. It’s really not even about the election, but it’s more about how divided people have become and how willing people are to escalate over thoughts and ideals.

Great idea to “homestead”. If it were not for running into the Zombie Apocalypse Manual by chance and then documenting suggestions on page 101, I would have never bothered to “homestead”. And whether through natural disasters, grid failures for any reason, or riots / civil unrest related lockdowns, simply having a bunch of canned goods, a few water storage containers, a simple water purifier gadget, and some candles could go a long long way in being able to hunker down without much worry for a spell. AK 47’s would help too, but personally speaking, that last item would not be good for me to have. Lol.

Honestly, I’m prepared for short term disasters at all times being in FL with the hurricanes. Looking more and more at longer term, especially with the last one where some people were out of power for over an week around here.
