Y’all planning anything? My kids are older teens and spending time with their friends. I’m planning on doing a campy Halloween this year. Been watching low budget B movies, old cartoon specials, and currently binging every Treehouse of Horror this weekend. I might even have some chocolate and peanut butter this weekend.

Not gonna lie, I wish we had more trick-or-treaters here they came to the house. I haven’t had a good run of trick-or-treaters in years. The last time I bought candy I ended up eating most of it because nobody knocked on the door, part of that is I don’t decorate the house I guess, but also the block I live on it’s not really a trick-or-treat haven.

That is wild, we used to knock on everybody’s door in the neighborhood. I do understand that where I live isn’t the best spot for trick-or-treaters because my block is in between two very busy streets and if I walk two blocks south, I’m in the “rich neighborhood“ where I assume they give out full-size candy bars to the kids and pony beers to the adults…I don’t know, cause my kids haven’t been trick-or-treat age for about five years now.
honestly, even the kids that live on the street don’t look on my door or any of the doors on this block.

Yes, it's the same here. Halloween isn't at all traditional in Germany. I first really learned about it when I was grown, and a female working colleague from England appeared in some weird costume.
But for some years one could expect kids to knock on the door and demand something sweet. Not so in the last 3 or 4 years.
Well I bought some wine gums, and ghost shaped potato chips just to be on the safe side. Luckily, I like them too.
Cheers!
