Got a WII for Christmas

So I promised myself I wouldn't ever buy a WII, but it was gifted to me as a Christmas present (my family rocks, I know)


So, since I have paid no attention to anything WII over the past few years, what games do you recommend I get?

I am thinking the new Mario Bros but has anyone else played it? I hear it rocks but I don't know anyone with a WII so any suggestions on cool games would be great.

I translated that as "I got a WWII for Christmas". I was puzzling over that for a good 10 seconds before my brain kicked in :^D

I don't have one, but they look pretty fun. I imagine any Mario game would be a safe bet. Probably anything that has a classic vibe would be good on the Wii

We got one too. We didn't get any adult games only ones for the kids. But my hubby wants the SMB as well.

I want Rock Band or GH World Tour...it just depends on what you like.

I would suggest Game Stop so that you can trade games if you end up not enjoying them.

I'm into the more interactive games such as Guitar Hero and Wii Sports and Wii Fit so I'll give you game opinions based on what my husband likes & plays for hours: Call of Duty, the modern war one; Metroid Prime? (I think that's the name), Ultimate Alliance 1&2, Zelda & Super Mario Galaxy. We don't have the new Super Mario Bros. yet, but I have heard nothing but good about that game. Hope you enjoy your Wii, I'm not a huge gamer but have owned a few consoles and I think this is the best one so far.

Yah we rented the new Mario andit rocks.It's just like the old one but better.

Is mari galaxy 2player co-op? And has anyone played paper mario?

Metroid prime is my next one for sure.

It's really good, but hard to find. The were gonna make a sequel, but I don't know now. It it a very underrated game.

THat Metroid Prime trilogy looks sweet. Metroid was one of my favorite games when I had my old school orriginal thick grey gameboy!

I went to gamestop to look at games and is it me or is there a serious lack of games for the Wii? The ones you listed will probably be the only ones I buy.

That's sgreger. The new one is awesome, and comes with an adventure mode called Subspace Emissary that is out of this world. Literally.
