Had the best and worst Christmas I ever had

christ, i am sicker than a dog still. i've had this before, it's like a really bad flu. my christmas was hot and cold spells, fever and weird dreams. i spent christmas alone. i'm drinking the piss out of beer right now and for days i have not let any of my friends inside my home.

now here's the point of this post. the day before christmas, when i was starting to feel shitty, just starting, i was somewhere on the internet. lookit. i love this internet, i am practically addicted to it. i had an email alert and saw it was a pm on a board, soo... i went to it. below my words i write here are what i read, these words came to me from a member. and i remember who it was.

this is definitely the best christmas present i have ever had, i wanted to share it with you people. what a ****ing internet. true story. a ****ing tear jerker, sure caused me to tear up, and gives truth to the saying that what goes around comes around. end of story. time for another beer, i am really tired of being sick so i'm gonna drink it out of me...

Hope you get to feeling better, Zman. You are a wonderful person, and like I said in another thread, SnusOn isn't the same without members like you.

I've been as sick as you. Since Xmas day I have been almost unable to get out of bed, it's the worst sickness I ever remember havving, and I only came ot work today because we don't have a backup trained so I would be letting people down but I still feel like crap.

Probably the swine flu but who cares, i'm getting over it. But it's got to be the most sick i can ever remember being. Hope you get better!

              That's very cool.

I had a cool experience on Christmas day, myself. It pales in comparison to the above story but it's heartwarming nonetheless. I have two young children so we awoke at about 6:00AM to do the Santa thing. Christmas day is also my four year old's birthday. At 7:00AM we heard a big bang and the power went out. It was the breaker on one of the poles on the street and we thought we were SOL that day. We called the electric company and got ready to trek to my mom's house an hour away (we planned on going there in the afternoon anyhow). Well, what to my wondering eyes did appear? The electric company to fix the breaker. Even w/o a holiday it takes forever for these sorts of things. They were here in about a half hour.

I went out to the street as the man was coming down from the high bucket to discover that he was working alone...on Christmas. I looked at him and said "Thank you." He put on a BIG smile and said "Merry Chistmas." I then produced a fresh apple pie that I had made the night before to bring to my mother's house and told him that he could NOT say no to a fresh baked apple pie. The guy teared up and told me that he had to take care of 11 towns that day. I know it's small, but nobody else even came out to wave to him. Society needs people to be nice. People need people to be nice. Plus...my pies kick ass...I even make my own pastry. I know he enjoyed it, and it was a nice way to start his day...especially on Christmas.

And WickedKitchen, now I know why you're called Wicked Kitchen. I can smell that apple pie.

Stories like these are why Snuson is right on.
