Thanks for unlocking this thread. I'll speak frankly and say that I was bummed to see a post get locked up that was speaking out about a personal problem with politics in the appropriate section where many others, myself included, have not been censored for doing the same. I will also be frank and say that I understand that Faust rubs many the wrong way, so to speak. I too can recognize that and have had my frustrations in the past with how condescending you are, Judge Faust, and how you mock the process of reasonable debate by degrading your opponents. Having said that, Faust, I do like your posts sometimes; you are obviously an intelligent man and I value the opportunity to hear from people like you with entirely different backgrounds and points of view. I suggest that one day you nut up and shed some light on yourself. Are you Belarussian by birth? Did you grow up under the Iron Curtain? Do you like that term, Iron Curtain? What the holy-hell kind of snus do you use? Answer that, if nothing else.
Back to my point, you're a good, provocative read, and a small fraction of what keeps me interested here. You're a nutjob, but an interesting nutjob, now just tone down the condescension, say something funny for once, and I won't be the only one who likes you here. Now if that truly is your schtick, as many would believe, to come here only to piss people off, then, well, you do a fine job. My point is that you might be better off to mellow out a bit. Something that you like keeps you coming back here, so tread a little lighter, whaddya say old chap. Don't piss off the mods.

Yes, I am Belarussian by birth, Soviet by citizenship. I was born in hero-city Minsk to a Russian mother and a Belarussian father. I grew up in Soviet Minsk, behind the "Iron Curtain," and was brought into the Empire following the collapse of my glorious beloved homeland. Yes, I do believe that Communism will save mankind from itself, and I do believe that Communism is one of our two present options (the other being extinction).
I am an atheist. I hate fascism, capitalism, imperialism, racism, and anything spawned from the Bush dynasty. My most prized material possession in a stainless-steel bust of Lenin.
I like the term "Iron Curtain" - it's impressive and underlines the difference between people like me and the average Imperial denizen. However, I would like to point out that this curtain was drawn closed by your people, not by mine.
I like my snus the same way I like all sensory perceptions - bold and overpowering. I use Thunder Frosted as my staple nicotine-delivery vehicle. When I drink, I use 2 or 3 of them at a time.
On the subject of drinking, I keep it traditional. Vodka, chilled, unmixed, downed in 100 ml increments. My favorite vodka is Minskaya and Belii Aist, neither of which can be found in the Empire. Hence, I tend to drink the Russian-made Moskovskaya, with occasional dabbling in Ruskii Standard and, sometimes, Svedka. I find both Smirnoff and Grey Goose to be pretentious pieces of shit mass-produced for the ignorant American public.

My only "schtick" is that I am a Communist, and not afraid to let this fact be known. Yes, this makes me unpopular in this intolerant nation during these intolerant times. No, I will not pretend to be a fascist for the sake of conformity. To borrow a powerful phrase from your own history, I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
Also, I do not strive for condescension. I have little tolerance for stupidity and dogma, but I do not go out of my way to attack those whose opinions differ from my own. I am always willing to listen to a well-thought-out argument, no matter which direction it comes from. Incidentally, this is how I became a Communist - I listened, I contemplated, and I decided. At the time, I was a fascist, and my interlocutor was an ex-chairman of the US Communist Party. His arguments were stronger than my own...

Re: No, no we can't, apparently.
Originally posted by Judge FaustI have predicted this since the summer of 2009, and it has come to pass:
I am completely sickened and disgusted by the Obama regime.
Now, given that he ran against the Fascist Comedy Duo, I would vote for the man all over again, but still... Enough is enough!
Obama, you promised us "change." I, for one, am still waiting for just the smallest scrap of change. To wit:
(1) You promised an end to the fascist wars of your moronic predecessor. RESULT: You have decided to continue occupying Iraq. You have decided to escalate the war in Afghanistan. You seem to be hell-bent on picking a fight with Iran. Oh, and now you have a thing against Yemen, as well.
(2) You promised to stop torture and close the torture-camp at Guantanamo. In fact, you went so far as to order the closure oh-so-many-months ago. Then you said that the deadline would not be met. Then you forgot all about it. RESULT: Torture is alive and well at Guantanamo.
(3) You promised change to the irrevocably broken Imperial healthcare system. RESULT: still broken; a toothless sham of a deal may or may not get passed in the upcoming century or two.
(4) You promised to fix the economy. RESULT: You gave more money to the filthy bourgeois. They're doing fine, now; the rest of us, who just so happen to constitute over 99% of the nation that you are supposed to rule, are still mired in an unprecedented depression.
OVERALL RESULT: epic failure. Obama, you are a disgrace to all of those proud to call ourselves left-wingers. There is only one thing in this nation that disgusts me more than your pandering to the ignorant right wing - the ignorant right wing itself. For some reason, these cretins insist on demonizing you for being a "socialist." This is ironic; a real socialist such as myself would have immediately brought all our troops home, nationalized all industry, made torture a capital offense, and made all medical procedures 100% subsidized by the federal government.
In conclusion: Obama, you are almost as ridiculous as the fascists that oppose you. Thank Lenin that you do not recognize that you are on their side. Thank you for defeating McCain, and a resounding "**** you" for selling out to the enemy.
i agree...presidents start with a P...and so do the words Puppet, Prostitute, Procrastination, and Piss Poor...whether they be puppets of the parties or puppets of the people rely entirely on whether or not the people learn how to stand up and make shit happen...the parties already know how to do that..

Truthwolf: Awesome picture, love the opium fields. Nothing like being shipped to a foreign country to guard the poppy fields so that "the poor farmers" don't lose out on their crop of drugs which they will then sell in America. Why not just quit the charade and just have our GI's tansport the stuff back home and sell it? Would cut down on the hassle for everyone.
(Oh wait, we did that in Vietnam, n/m)
The reality is that we have to fuel these terror cells for "intel" reasons and heroin is their bread and butter so can't cut that off. The poor farmers of course.
Want to fix terrorism? Burn every poppy field in the middle east with white phosphorous. If we don't have any regard for the rules anyways, why not do it? I mean we're down to torture but not down to burn drug fields? We could win the war on drugs and the war on terrorism overnight. There would be almost no more money for these terrorists and maybe some of the people here in Santa Cruz would sober up and do something productive as opposed to occupying their time with jacking things from my car to finance their next hit of smack>terrorism.
Or we could fight a prolonged war overseas while tying the hands of our soldiers with overbearing rules of engagement for another decade...
Either way.
Time for Operation Parking Lot:
Load up a couple of fatmans a few little boys, and level the entire place.
In a year go back and blacktop the entire area put up 3 gas pumps:
1) Leaded
2) Unleaded
3) Diesel
It's all about oil anyway, so lets make it about oil...
And none of our troops need to be on the ground to spill anymore blood...

We in the US will never have any "change" as long as we continue to keep the duopoly "party" in power. The system is designed to protect and strengthen it's foothold. We have to out the Dems and Reps. That is the 1st step. Keeping them in office only means "same", forever.

That being said, the Democrats are being real pussies. We gave them control in the White House, Congress, and the Senate, yet they still bow down to the Republicans. It's sickening.

Fascism is basically communism, but in a National boundry like Stalinism. really don't see any difference social system wise, and nationalistic wise.
Of course these words get mis used and mis defined.
Marxist Communism
Mussolini Fascism
Remember Mussolini was the leader of the Italian Socialists.

On one side you have a radical Christian conservative and on the other a socialist angry lesbian.
If we could only reach these type of people and have them give up a little brainwashed pride we could get the numbers for a third party.

+1 for use of angry socialist lesbian lol.
It's not even so much that the dems or the reps are bad parties as far as their ideology is concerned, I mean they both hold american values, the left being more about social equality etc and the right being more about conservative spending and small government. In theory they should pull against each other and the country would land somewhere in the middle. In theory.
The reason we need to break up the parties is to destroy the machine behind them that has corrupted everything. All the campaign money, the lobbyests, I mean they all have their teeth so deep into the thing, it has become a parasite on both parties and the onyl way to kill it is to slaughter the host.
I liked VBSnus's idea of having a general campaign fund and breaking it up evenly to give everyone a fair chance, and require at least 1 third party.
I am sure a lot of democrats find themselves in the same boat as me. I like republicans ideas, small gov, conservative spending, etc, but that's not what the ACTUAL party does when they are in power. Same with the dems, they like gay rights, socially equal policies, universal healthcare, no wars of aggression etc yet when their party is in power they don't accomplish those things. This is why I say the ideas behindthe parties are great, but when the party gets elected it tends to fall away from what it was elected to do. I hope more people vote 3rd party this year just to show them that we are getting fed up.
