Well, I still got the 6 kids over and my 20 year old neph came over today as well, as did my sis her hubbie and kids (a 3 yr old and almost one) and my mom and her husband, oy yeah my aunt too. I was serving B&G at noon. So I mad 32 biscuits and a 12 quart dutch oven full of Sausage gravy. It was hectic so I didn't get a pic, but believe me folks it was Flame........ My 13 yr old nephew who is very picky and never ever eats the gravy, even indulged. Oh yeah and no leftovers....... sure sign of success!

      Sounds great. That's a lot of B&G!

My neighbors plum tree is going off the hook (and luckily hangs into my yard). I have so many everyday I'm started to research recipes for them. I have a plum quick bread in the oven now. It's really more of a cake I'd say considering how much sugar is in the batter. Will try to post a pic when it comes out...

      Yum! Turned out great!

          Looks good Rob!

Alright snuson foodies and bakers. I have some big cucumbers out of the garden and I don't like giant cucumbers for the table. My question to you all is, have any of you ever made a cucumber bread in the fashion of a zucchini bread. If you have a recipe that is tried and true, It would be great if you could post it.....

Don't know about cucumber bread, but you could make pickles I haven't yet but sounds good to me...

I have a bunch of picklers as well, and have some refrigerator pickles chillin in the chill box right now. These cukes are just to big. I am already planning on using a couple in a chilled cuke soup. IDK we'll see.... Maybe I'll just try a zuke bread recipe but swap with the cukes if I can't find an acceptable cuke bread recipe..... How bad could it be?

                Blue, make some fresh tatziki.

It goes great on burgers or as a hot wing dip or go traditional and bust out some gyros.

Cukes have a higher water content than zucccinis so you would have to adjust the recipe.

Good idea, Monkey! That stuff is good. I also agree about the high water content of cukes if you make bread don't make mush.
