Thanks! The bacon was diced, so it's hard to see...

I'm resurrecting this thread because I made some kickass baby back ribs in the smoker today!

I had Dublin Bay Prawns with fried rice. Lovely stuff, I really like seafood. Pity I didn't take photo but next time...

Nice! How long did they go for? I need a smoker, or at least something to seal up and convert my Weber.

                Those look delicious.

Do you dry rub them, marinate them before hand or just throw 'em in the smoker? They came out a beautiful color.

While I'm asking, what kind of wood did you use?

You can make one with a hot plate and a flower pot for $40.

Hey I was gonna post that. Well anyway cooked 6 1.25 inch 18 ounce bone in rib eyes yesterday for my mom, auntie, and my lil sis's brood. Mom said it was the best steak she's ever had. I must say they were damn good, But the were not dry aged so they weren't the best ever. But better than you'd at most places and hell they were only $4.99 a lb. I need to start taking pics of my meals to show off like Rob

They cooked for 5 hours at around 225. I have a vertical propane water smoker.

Dry rub only, it's my own recipe. I do let them sit overnight after rubbing them, so it's sort of like marinating them too. For smoke I had a little bit of hickory, and the rest was apple.

                          mmmmm.

follow it up with a N&J and another Beck's. If I had that at noon I wouldn't have to eat for the rest of the day. Good on ya!

Nice Rob. I'm cooking pork back ribs in the oven, going to transfer them to the grill here in a minute and baste with this homemade bourbon honey bbq sauce. Meanwhile I got homemade bourbon baked beans going in the oven too, and salad in the works. Been drinking $3-$5 German beers all day, breakin' my goddamn budget, I spend way too much dough on food and beer.

Edit: Took another peek Rob, looks delicious!

Thanks guys. I hear ya about that food and beer budget Roo!

Tonight I made a pizza with beef tenderloin, Bearnaise sauce, spinach, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and a six cheese Italian blend.
