    I feel you on having a good relationship with your butcher. I buy the stuff nobody else wants or knows what to do with...I get marrow bones and internal organs on the cheap.

      My butcher has beef liver in the case for $0.99/lb. That's cheap enough since I'm the only one in the house who eats it. I'm going to get some kidneys some day, but I have to order them in advance.

            I'm still trying to eat more diabetes friendly, so I didn't add any noodles to it, like I used to, nor will I pile a ton a crackers in it.
