    Looks good Blue!

Is that a butcher block in your kitchen? That's freakin' awesome! It looks like end grain which is the best kind to keep your knives nice and frosty!

Damn Blue I just saw you wings with beans and rice on a full screen. Looks terrific.

The other night this is what I did: Chopped chicken thighs into one inch cubes and stir fried them lightly with some ginger. Put them in a slow cooker and emptied 2 cans of coconut milk into the slow cooker. Put a healthy dose of fish sauce in the crockpot, along with a good 3 tablespoons of yellow curry powder and some chili powder and/or paprika. Heat the wok again (or whatever pan you have) and quickly stirfry some unsalted peanuts, maybe a minute until they brown. Add 'em to the crock. Then I chopped leeks, green onions, garlic, ginger, and lemongrass, and stirfried that in some oil with some Guilin chili sauce. Added that to crockpot after a couple minutes. Let it simmer for a couple hours. Then slice 3 potatoes into 1 inch cubes and chop 2 carrots into 1/4" slices. Add potato and carrot to crockpot during last hour of 3 hours total time in the slow cooker. Spice it up with chili flakes and whatever else you have. Make some long grain or jasmine rice. I'm sure I forgot some ingredients, but just improvise, add onions, veggies, whatever, and you got yourself some good Thai curry. Comes in handy if you either don't feel like going out of the house and/or don't live near a decent Thai restaurant. Seattle happens to have about 3,000 good Thai restaurants, so I was trying to do it as good or better. Turned out pretty damn good.

Edit: Oh yeah I also julienned some red bell pepper, yellow chili pepper, and diced a habañero, and stirfired those with the the leeks and lemongrass and other stuff. And I added some diced pineapple at the end.

Man roo that sounds damn good, I might give it a try seeing how I have to go to chi town for good thai. I for sure love the flavor profile your throwing down, If I mad it tho I think I'd go stove top in the dutch oven.......

Oh yeah I brined and rubbed a pork but on Sunday, had a bunch of leftovers. Have my nieces and nephews over for the week. Fed it to them for dinner, and those kids ate all that was left. My 9 yr old nephew joe pretty much told me he'd try and eat anything I cook, wether he knows what it is or not..... pretty cool...... And yes they loved it......

So I was going thru my fridge. I found some left over long grain rice, chicken, and diced onions. Saw the soy sauce, sesame oil, and siracha. Grabbed all those plus a couple eggs, a carrot and some frozen peas. Whipped up a skillet full of chicken fried rice. Ended up as good if not better than take out.

Nice Blue! that's an awesome skillet. I've gotten into CI a bit more lately. I have a smaller skillet, a two burner grill/griddle, and a Dutch oven...

Dinner tonight was tandoori style chicken wings, curried potatoes and carrots, and basmati rice. This is the first time I ever used the side burner on my gas grill, mainly because the low setting is way too hot. It worked perfect for the potatoes and carrots though...

Rob, nice job as well! A weber if I'm not mistaken (well the grates look weber at least). As far as my CI, that's old betsy, had her for years like 14, picked her and a 6 quart dutch oven up at a garage sale in a sad, sad state. Brought them back to life and she has a better chance of being my life partner than any chick at this point. She might even be the reason i don't have a woman,,,,, I'm being facetious of course, but there is more than a bit of truth to it........ As far as the grill goes I opted out of the side burner on my Genesis,,,,, I don't know, it's a grill not a camp stove for Christ's sake!

It's actually a Kenmore. I set it on fire last year, and one of the burners finally cracked this year, and I just replaced it. Now I can go back to grilling lazy!

Snuffy you are such a gangster with that pesto chicken pizza. Is that paneer?? Or cubed mozzarella?

Rob and Blue, if I find myself hungry in the upper-midwest, we're gonna get down like real G's on the Q. You know what I'm sayin'

Thanks! It was a lot of work. Grilled the chicken, let the bread-maker mix the dough, made the pesto from the garden, hand tossed the dough and baked it.

The cheese is feta, and theres marinated artichoke hearts from a jar. It was great!
