    Federal tax witholding

So, last year, I apparently only had 150 bucks of federal tax held out. (FOR THE YEAR!) guess I didn't catch it. I don't owe, but my refund isn't as big as it usually is, only about 1900 right now.

    I heard about this -

The "making work pay" tax credit. I dunno if that's it or not. My witholding is set up correctly on my taxes though.

Anyone else experience this for 2009?

Haven't gotten my W-2 yet, but according to my last pay stub of the year, I had a bit over $18,000 held. I don't have any dependents though. Since my house got reassessed and taxes went through the roof I should be getting a sizable refund, but we'll see.

      Family of three.
W2 Form. Made the mistake of claiming a 2, possibly a 3 couple years ago and had to pay in $3000 dollars both years.

This year I did a 1 and hopefully everything evens out.

Property taxes have remained the same even though there is no way our home would ever sell for what they state.

all i have to say is AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax) originally designed to hit the top 15 families in the United States, SUCKS SWEATY BALLS (not that i would know first hand, but I've been told more than once)..

looks like i might get hit with that this year

I don't know how much i'm getting back but it better be a lot because:

          I made 40k this year
I claimed 0 dependants untill october, then I claimed my wife, kid etc. for only the last few months
I bought a new vehicle ($2,000 tax credit)

So hopefully I should be getting quite a bit this year, but with my luck I will somehow owe money
