Ubuntu: Free or $105-165 per seat/year with support
Redhat Enterprise Linux Desktop $49, Workstation: 179.99 (1 year, self support)
Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade: $109.99 Full: 179.99 (crippled home version)
    OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 Full 29.00
That's a little disingenuous. Your Ubuntu and RedHat examples are for corporate support. Corporate support is a high dollar industry, and while I've never used it for Linux, I bet that buys you some impressive help, which includes custom coding and patches.

Windows is what it is. You can use it on any hardware you can cobble together, and aren't tied in to any one combo. As always, service packs are free, and security support goes years into the future. Shit, XP isn't hitting EOL until 2014. Does Apple still support 13 year old O/Ss?

With Apple you've already purchased the O/S. Calling Leopard a full copy isn't useful because it's still just an upgrade, or service pack if you will. You're only allowed to install it on Apple computers, and all Apple computers come with an O/S, so the specific title you call it doesn't matter. You're paying $29 for a service pack ;^)

I got it and it's tight as hell, i'm not even into music but it's really fun to play with and pretty powerful for an ipad app, you could really make quite a number if you put some time into it. They just launched it the other day for the ipad 2, but ti works perfectly fine on the ipad 1.
Been playing with it all day, it rocks!
