I just got myself mostly shoveled out. Just a narrow path for the Jeep, and I bulldozed my way to the road. I'll be walking through snow to get into my house for a month :^D

Close to three feet of the white stuff here. Have been home bound since Friday. No mail delivery since Thursday. The city called in the National Guard last night. We are currently under another Storm Watch! They are calling for 6+ more inches by tomorrow night. Really happy I have a snus stockpile!

I'm jumping for joy at the lack of snow up here in NH this year! Seems like every storm has stayed south of us and we've only gotten a few inches here and there over the winter. After the past 2 winters though, I think we deserve a break! Just for comparison...an "average" winter in this section of the state means just under 50" of snow for the whole winter...the past 2 years were 102" and 108". This feels like being in Florida this year...comparatively that is

This is about 40 miles from where I live. I think the snow has something to do with this:

PA police say man rides on car hood in his underwear in frigid temperatures after dispute
                02-19-2010 05:28 PM CST
                UNIONTOWN, Pa. (Associated Press) --

Police expect to file charges against a 57-year-old man who was wearing only underwear in frigid temperatures when he hopped on the hood of his girlfriend's moving car during an argument. Police have yet to identify the man or his 28-year-old girlfriend, saying they'll release the names once they sort out what charges to file.

Police were called about 3:20 a.m. Thursday by someone reporting a man riding on the hood of a car, screaming at the woman driving it.

The woman had a bruise under her left eye and police said they found drug paraphernalia in the car.

Uniontown is about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh. The region has been hit by heavy snows and overnight temperatures were in the teens on Thursday.
