Well that was an hour of boredom ending with an explosion in your face! Hopefully they're setting up some good stuff to come.

I watched Cloverfield on TV last night. I had never seen this before, but have always been curious, being a giant monster fan I am.

Overall, I found it to be a dud, but it did have some neat aspects and scenes. I didn't like the ending.

I rented that last Halloween. Actually, that's the only time I rent movies. I make only one trip to Blockbuster a year, and renew my membership at the same time!

Cloverfield was alright, not my favorite, but I liked it enough to watch it twice. It was better than Quarantine IMO.

I think it's that time of the year again to prepare my rental list for this Halloween. I'd like to see Paranormal Activity, Halloween II (Rob Zombie's re-make), and The last Saw movie.

That one looks right up your alley. lol

I need to add The Crazies to my list too. I really miss the Hellraiser movies. Pinhead had such great lines: " No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering"

I was wanting to see Piranha 3D, but haven't made it out to do so. I do want to see Devil, the new Shyamalan film.

I watched Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train yesterday.

I've also been watching the Spectreman series. It's similar to the old Ultraman show, but I kinda think I like it more.

They've been running this 2009 streetfighter movie the legend of Chun-li on Hbo lately and I watched it the other night. Not good , but it was almost worth it to watch Chris Kline (Oz from American Pie) Over act and cheese every scene he's in. Oh great I didn't have to waste an hour and a half theirs youtube of everything he says in the movie.

I liked it more than i thought i would. I now want to see the musical it "ripped off" : Repo! The Genetic Opera. I'm generally not into musicals although i did enjoy Sweeny Todd with Depp.

I have been getting back into anime a little lately. Going through my Ghost in the Shell dvds, and i started watching The Skull Man on hulu. Pretty good so far.

Edit: To anyone that's interested, Stephen King is in next weeks Sons of Anarchy episode.

I watched Attack of the Puppet People last night. This was very good, and while the ending was OK, I was expecting something more exciting and climactic.

Did anyone watch that new series premire last Monday, called "The Event"?

I did. Apart from the distracting hopping back and forth in time, it seemed promising to me.
It has a big ET element.

Seems these "people" are being held in some prison in the Arctic. The President(a black guy) says we don't do that in America, and wants them released. His advisers and General says no, that's a bad idea. But he does anyway, and is set to make a public announcement.

Also, this airline pilots daughter is kidnapped and wife killed. And he is later flying a plane, having killed the co-pilot, to crash it into where the President is going to make his annoucement.

The hero is also on the plane, trying to stop it, he's also the boyfriend of the daughter(who disappears, and we can only guess she is kidnapped, forcing the pilot to do this).

And while secret service tries to protect the President, along with a woman, who is the "leader" of the people he is setting free from being held, the plane is bearing down to them, all of a sudden a big "wormhole" opens in the sky, and swallows the plane.

Everyone is stunned and can't figure out what happened, and then the "leader" woman says, "they saved us".

Comes on on Mondays at 9pm. This was the 1st episode.
