We need SnusOn for iPhone

making an app for snuson would require buying a mac and also joining the Apple iPhone Developer Program (99 dollas) plus loads of free time.

We don't need a standalone app or anything, as I doubt anyone here has the time or resources to do that. I do think it would be cool to take a few minutes to make the forum compatable with forum runner or something which just requires pasting some snipets of code onto the forum back end I believe. That way already available free apps can access snuson, negating the need for anyone here to independently make a standalone snuson app.

Forum apps already exist, just make snuson compatible.

you can access snuson on the iphone suing your browser, I am using that and is working properly, like the others said it takes time and money to develop an app

I've no problems browsing the full site on my phone (droid). Chat and everything works fine - no need for a mobile site.

Yeah I'm not an apple fanboy. Been wanting to get into android for a while now and finally got one. Posting this now from skyfire. It

Lol, Snuson works the EXACT SAME on iphone as it does on adroid, there is really no difference. There is no need for firefox on the iphone, there are dozens of browsers that do as good if not better for mobile devices. Atomic Browser is my favorite right now.


In business there is money to be made in different niches, microsoft fills one and mac fills the other. Mac is a more closed marketplace, they don't allow app developers to hijack the phone and install a thousand toolbars and other shit that will slow it down. Mac is for people who like clean things that work and that don't allow developers to hijack your desktop every time you install something, I like that so I pay them, others like having full open access and microsoft and google are great at those, but you have to realize it is just a different product aimed at a different demograpgic than what mac is doing.

If mac opened their marketplace and changed their dev rules than they would be no better than andoid and they would lose their demographic. Some people like it when developers have restrictions,

Snusons works the same on iphone as it does on every other phone, snuson is 100% accessable from the native iphone safari browser. Would be nice to make this forum compatible with forum apps that have already been developed, because although snuson displays fine on my phone, AT&T has draconian data limits (2 gigs a month MAX) so sometimes using forum apps is great since it just pulls the text from the forum and takes less data.

Not really a big deal, but from what i understand is really easy to do (copy and paste some code into the back end), and then the already existing forum apps can play with it. This way it's a free app for everyone and no one has to do any programming or anything.

Apparently there's some unmet need, or this thread wouldn't exist. It's likely I could meet that need by writing a script, but that only works for open platforms ;^)

This is why I just went down and bought 2 iPhone 4's - one for me one for the wife. I'm tiring of the PC bullshit. I have a few freinds who only use Mac's, and never have to deal with the viruses, spyware, bloatware, and all the other crap that I do. My phones will be here tomorrow(they were all sold out at the time, had to order them). If I like this phone enough, I am seriously thinking of going to the dark side - and replace every computer I own with a Mac.

Although I would love to have FireFox on the iphone.
