    Nor'easter from last night

Daaaammmmnnnn.....what fun that was! Tons of wind (60mph+) and rain (4-7") here in my area, tons of tree branches down, tons of peeps with no power, tons of roads closed, a mess for sure!

Here's a link to one of the papers here with ongoing reports...they're even asking people to use twitter to report downed lines to the power company and gave what hashtag to use so they can find the tweets easier. Such a cool use of technology :P

Just a small part of that report:

11:10 a.m. Repairing damage from the windstorm that struck New Hampshire last night could take up to a week, a state official said today.
Hundreds of thousands of people are without power today, mostly in central and southern New Hampshire and the Seacoast, said Katya Brennan, spokeswoman for the state's Homeland Security and Emergency Management office.
“It's a major event and this could go for several days, perhaps a week,” Brennan said. “It's a regional issue but New Hampshire probably has the most damage.”
At least 700,000 are without power across the Northeast, according to the Associated Press.
More than half of Public Service of New Hampshire's customers are without power this morning. The company put the number of outages at about 259,000 as of 10:15 a.m. The company serves about 490,000 homes and businesses in the state.
About 45,000 Unitil customers were without power mid-morning, with about 8,000 of them in the Concord area and the rest on the seacoast, said spokeswoman Stephanye Schuyler.
This storm is “probably second” to the state's 2008 ice storm, Brennan said.
The state initially put the number of statewide outages at 330,000 but that number has fluctuated as more outages are reported and service is restored.

Gotta love El Nino! Actually, I'm loving this one though since most of the snow is staying south of me. It's almost like living in Florida this year!

At least we took the snow out of it for you guys here in NY. I got 3 feet of snow, and still don't have power from last Thursday. No heat, no running water either. Posting off the last running laptop and using my neighbour's wifi. It's too damn cold in NY right now for this crap.
