I just saw this movie for the first time and it was absolutely awesome.

Does anyone think we have technology that could do this today? Would create some badass soldiers if they just blindly followed directions to the T lol.

I believe it is possible, yes. I would even go as far as to say I believe there are manchurian candidates. They're developed with methods as simple as hypnosis and torture training. So, why not? I can't say whether I believe its moral or not.

Lol I think it would be quite an operation to chip and re-program hundreds of thousands of people. Blackwater has a pretty big force. Plus why pay the money for microchips, when my brother went to apply for Blackwater they are offering like 100K+ a year for less than 10 months of actual work! I think I picked the wrong line of work...

I saw the remake that came out not that long ago. The only thing I didn't get was the end. Did he overcome the pogramming and shoot the other guy, or did the other guy (VP) make himself the target on purpose because he knew he was beign controlled?
