What we will all be driving when we become Korea

Actually these are a really cool invention. Especially here in San Francisco this would be extremely handy, since I don't like riding bikes any more and the faggio scooters are not as portable and versatile as these.

What do you guys think about these? Are they gay or would you rock one? I would. Only problem is they cost $4,500, which I think is a bit steep considering they only go 15 kph, but they do charge at your work desk or house for only .10 cents a charge. So costs nothing after you buy it. And they can go for about 15km per charge.

They look ridiculously unstable, but of course, this is probably deceiving. Still, I wouldn't use one, but then again, I don't like bikes either.

Yah I was wondering how the hell they maintained stability but there must be some system as they seem to work. Dunno, would be fun to have but I havn't caught onto the city alt-transprtation trend yet. I still enjoy sitting in traffick in my car like a Real American (TM) lol.

This sounds like another Segway reiteration. Remember when people were saying everyone would be using those in 2010?

Lol, when the Segway was first created and before they started selling them I was at a CGI conference in Florida and for some reason the creator was giving a speech about them. He auctioned off 3 of them for charity and was talking about how it would change the world and everyone would ride them, especially cops.

Lol, Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail. His idea for the wheelchair that climbs stairs was pretty cool though.

The Segway's pretty nifty. They aren't practical for your average person, but they're great for professional use. I like that bike too. It's out of my price range, but it's the perfect urban vehicle.

This type of thing is exactly what fat Americans don't need. For god sake's get out and walk somewhere, or use the most efficient machine ever made....a regular damn bicycle. Technologically though, this and the segway are pretty damn cool.

Yah too expensive for a secondary type transportation but still kinda nifty. Biking is fine but they get stolen too often, it's impossible to stop them from getting stolen especially around here where I live.

Yeah, I have a Schwinn 564 with sweet-ass frame (suicide) shifters and a fairly decent fixed gear I put together myself. I will stick with those two.

Not trying to espouse my own personal agenda on anyone, but I love the exercise I get from riding a real bike, and I would not consider trading it in for an electronic replacement.

I think your missing the market for these. They're perfect for the office worker that doesn't want to get sweaty, and smell like ass all day at work, but also doesn't want to spend $100 a month to park a car or motorcycle in the city. I'd get one in a heartbeat if I were in that position. $4,500's too much for just puttering around the neighborhood though.

This is such a great point that a lot of alt-transportation people (bikers) tend to overlook somehow. I love biking for exercise, but when i'm trying to goto work i'm not trying to get all sweaty right before a meeting.

What I really want to see though is some of these doing some kind of tricks. I know someone will figure out how to grind a rail with one of these things lol.

You all have a very valid point about the sweatiness, and I don't think I missed it, I just think I smell like sunshine and daydreams when I get sweaty.
