    Road Kill Rescue

Police: Man tried to revive dead possum; alcohol involved
    Friday, March 26, 2010
    Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Police said a man will be charged with public drunkenness after several witnesses saw him attempting to resuscitate a road-killed opossum.

State police said they charged Donald Wolfe, 55, of Brookville, Jefferson County, after they arrived at the scene on Route 36 in Oliver Township around 3 p.m. Thursday.

A news release from police does not state how he was trying to revive the opossum.

Why isn't this important story getting more traction in the Main Stream Media? Where are the sidebars and paid-blogger commentary providing the history of roadkill and outlining the methods of roadkill resuscitation? It sounds as if SOMEBODY is wanting roadkill to stay dead! The police report sounds a little fishy to me. I smell a conspiracy! <--straight line left hanging in hopes of at least a third post in this thread

I just think it's ridiculous. Why would the police charge this guy. It makes no sense. And Besides I think a picture of it would have shown up here eventually, giving us all a big laugh..... Now that is not to be. DAMN!
