Please don’t misunderstand my post. Mercy is not the same thing as a pardon. Mercy does not leave a situation uncorrected where correction is need. Instead mercy directs correction according to the goal of restoration rather than mere retribution.
Thus Rob’s remarks are spot on: of course we should expect courteousness and respect from all on the forum.
Bigblue’s post was constructive in its intent (regardless of whether you agree with it or not).
Mercy does not say to ignore any of these things. Rather mercy simply asks us all to stop and consider the outcome we are seeking.
