    NSFW Content Poll

It appears some of us are split on whether or not we should clearly mark NSFW content. Some browse at work and any employer in the US would be pissed at you watching bouncing boobs or hardcore porn with cartoons drawn over it during work hours. Some feel that we shouldn't be on here during work hours because we are stealing our employers time, so not their problem. Others just feel it's the internet to f*ck it, no rules.

All 3 are legitimate positions in my concern.

Can we get an official vote on this?

the mods are working on that issue right now.

I feel that any questionable content should be in the People and the World around us forum. And no where else. For the sake of the visitors.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

And My point wasn't that you shouldn't be on the internets at work. It was that anybody who was surfing at work would be crazy not to use discretion, whilst they do it. Because it is so none of my business whether your on the net at work. I would be 1 sad guy if you weren't on the net all day sgreger. And my other point was that we shouldn't just start piling on lazer, for being lazer, until there is an actual policy in place.

Oh no way is this intended for lazer at all, I love his posts. I don't even care if people post whatever but if it was marked in some way that would make it easier to sneak a peak when no one is walking by lol.

Its not a big deal just it was originally the occasional bouncing breast and now it's been escalating to more explicit content and it's like back to back posts so it's getting harder to fish through it.

Disclaimer: This in no way means I don't love bouncing boobs, lol.

The problem is that if a thread starts out ok then someone posts questionable material ONLY the op and the mods can add NSFW in the thread title. So any warning will only be on the forum title. Not on the thread title. You will have to be carefull opening any thread in the People & world forum.

I'm pretty sure Ice will be putting a warning on the forum title soon.

Yah I see how the dynamics behind it would be difficult.

I have an easy solution, I am going to start posting gay porn all over the forum

Whats so hard about just not posting material such as that? Are you giggling at your monitor every time a set of tits come flashin' your way? Childish. If there is a restriction on SWEARING there should be a restriction on NSFW material. Get yelled at for saying F*ck when the * isn't there but I see NSFW all up in my grill and that's cool? Public forum so post whatever, but its 18+ not only means NSFW material is met without a double glance, but also with a level of maturity.

C'mon people this is common sense.

Yah seriously though. I can't cuss because it's not appropriate but we can post rape porn with snakes drawn on the dicks and that's appropriate? ROFL.

Also, excellent find Justin on the sfw porn site lol.

So now we are in a NSFW subforum, with a thread that has NSFW in the title.

                        Here's your NSFW pole:

And this is where the onus should lie. Shouldn't be on the backs of posters concerning themselves with what may or may not be suitable for hundreds of different people. Sad. NSFW is subjective.

I have never seen any picture posted on this site that was pornographic. Everything I've seen posted would pass most FCC standards for primetime network television broadcast. So on the internet, one of the last bastions of truly unregulated free speech, to consider controlling suggestive, but not pornographic, material simply to protect the subversive cubicle poster...well it's a sad commentary on censorship in general. Catering to the lowest common denominator will always result in a sterile and inhibited environment.

If a pair of clothed bouncing boobs is enough for somebody to get fired, then they simply should not be viewing at work.
