    Any of my Snus Friends:

    Ever been on a cruise?

I have my husband talked into it, we are waiting on our tax refund(yeah I know we waited to file a little later than most).

My parents have been 4 or 5 times and are going this fall for a 7 day cruise. They tell me it is addicting. I have always wanted to go and it looks like this might be one of the last times my husband and I get to do anything w/o the kids(the last year for canoeing as well).

So if you have been share your experience with me. Like how early to get there to embark and what all to pack. Oh and if you smuggled booze or anything like that.

We are going on Carnival Ecstasy more than likely. There are only 2 Carnival ships that sail out of Galveston, Ecstasy and Conquest. Conquest is the 7 day cruises and we can't afford that(mostly for him to be off work that long).

Just don't go near those African hijackers. Never been on a cruise, but was on a Navy ship.

I went on a Carnival cruise with my family for a family reunion a few years ago. Lots of fun! Great food, tons of activities and extended stops at various ports where you can get on land and check things out.

My only real advice is to bring a calling card if you plan to call home. Ship to land phone calls are outrageously expensive.

I went on a cruise to the Bahamas for my senior trip. Tons of good food at all times of day. Good clubs and shows too. Of course I spent the entire time drinking and chasing tail. I had a great time, and I think you'll enjoy it.

I wouldn't bother smuggling booze. You can buy it on the ship duty free, so it's cheaper.

JPono-I don't plan to call home. I was going to take my laptop and use it to talk to my kids, like skype or yahoo messenger, since my parents will be here with them. If we are only going to be gone on a 4 day I may not even bother with that and just do the calling card thing. I know my parents are taking their laptop so they can upload pics to FB while they are gone and talk to me that way.

But the way I understand it with the booze is you can't have it until you disembark and get off the boat at the end of the cruise, is this not the truth?

It was a long time ago, but we bought bottles to drink on the ship. Check out the cruise line's website.

It it a "swingers" cruize? Those are cool. A boatload of fun. Bring lube.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

If you purchase in any Port-of-Call, that is true. They will store the alcohol for you and you won't get it until the end of your trip. There are bars on the ship where you can buy bottles of alcohol to drink at any time however.
