Bugs suck! I'm still getting the creepy-crawlies even after a few days after "tick-gate" :wink: My dad wonders why I haven't gone to Florida yet...well gee Dad, keep reminding me about the fire ants, palmetto bugs, huge spiders, roaches, and all 50 million other strange species of crawly things down there! :P

If deer ticks are the only ones that transmit Lyme, then I'm not worried about that since this one was definitely too big to be a deer tick. Probably should have the hubby check my scalp for anything weird looking though, just in case.

Just visited that website about the floating ball o' ants which reminded me of this one time in Alabama. I was driving through the se part of AL which sucks, you can drive for miles with no businesses in sight. I had to pee so bad that I pulled off onto a dirt road and jumped out of the car and found a nice hidden spot to squat down. I had drank a ton of water so I had to really go. Anyway, I felt the sharp stinging sensation all over one of my feet (had flip flops on) and noticed a bunch of fire ants on me. I couldn't stop peeing but I was freaking out and jumping around, while still squatting. I ended up peeing all over myself! I finally made it back to the car, wet and miserable with like 20 bites and had to continue on for another 25 miles before coming up on a CVS to get some ant bite relief stuff! I hate ants!!!

dude fire ants not only bite, but they like latch on with their jaws while swinging their ass back and forth repeatedly stinging you. so gnarly.
