How are you handling the new site?

I'll tell you what. I don't have facebook and myspace or any SN site accounts. So I'm gonna make as many friends here as i can until I get bored with it. Call me juvenile if you like. I do wish the first posts weren't linked to facebook in some way. I just hope we don't become to intermingled with a site like that.

I've never seen these rep points before. What exactly is it they are used for on the other forums you've been on?

I just read the blurb on the Reputation points in the FAQ.

Agreed completely that the points system, the one generated by activity as well as the Reputation points, are just asking for trouble

You can add good rep or bad rep to anyone you like. When your green bar goes red it intimates that you're a bit of a tw@t - but the thing is you're not really - you've just said something that someone doesn't agree with. It always creates bad feeling amongst site members.

I donno, to me this is like a flip phone with too many features. Adding friends?...this is why i'm not on Facebook. and points?..Is this suppose to be a game at who can post the most? I don't come here to be popular...aren't we supposed to be of age and not in high school anymore.

All I want to see is a front page with all the new posts in each section like before.

I like the site and all BUT I am hoping for a mobile version showing just what you stated. I hated facebook when I first got an account because of all the fancy crap, but I forced myself to use it and came to like it only to come to dislike it again, because of the 'high school' shenanigans.

It was going smooth for me up until about 5 minutes ago when i keep getting a 'Database Error' when i click on the "Forum" tab, i got here through 'whats new', seems to be the only link working for me at the moment.

Also, does anyone know how the ranking system works? I was a senior member yesterday and now i'm a snuson master, but people with 2k posts less than me are also snuson masters. By what measure is this decided? (I would prefer a snuson overlord or even a "better than Dogg" tag but master will do fine for now, we all have to start somewhere)
