Tiger Woods Takes Drugs
Tiger Woods just lost the election. Despite repeated claims that he has never used performance-enhancing drugs, many of Woods's fellow professionals simply do not believe him.
According to a Sports Illustrated poll, almost a quarter of top PGA Tour golfers think that Woods has taken drugs.
Twelve months ago he was both feared and revered. Now he is viewed by many of his peers as a cheat on and off the course.
A total of 71 players were asked: "Do you think Tiger used HGH or other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs)?" Twenty-four per cent of those who answered the question replied 'Yes', despite Woods's repeated denials in recent weeks.
Woods's association with Tony Galea, the Canadian doctor who is under investigation for his links to human growth hormone, is potentially ruinous.
Woods said at the Masters: "OK, well, he [Galea] did come to my house. He never gave me HGH or any PEDs. I've never taken that my entire life. I've never taken an illegal drug."
Woods has been way off course with some of his golf at Quail Hollow. Maybe he was wondering whether his playing partners, Angel Cabrera and Stewart Cink, were part of the 24 per cent.
