Mainstream media: Tens of millions doubt Obama eligibility

A new Washington Post/ABC poll has asked whether Americans believe President Obama was born in the United States – arguably one component of the Constitution's demand that presidents be "natural born" citizens – and it has revealed that even one in seven Democrats says he was born "in another country."
Producers of the poll, which done by the mainstream media is a reflection itself of how much concern over Obama's eligibility has grown, described the assessment and its finding that 20 percent of all respondents said he was born abroad to 77 percent with faith that he was born in the United States as taking "another bite at the birther apple."
But when David Weigel blogged about it at the newspaper, citing 31 percent of Republicans who doubt Obama's citizenship and explaining "birtherism has remained a stubborn belief in the conservative base, despite widespread denunciation from elite conservatives," one forum page participant tried to put it in perspective.
"So, this poll shows 31 percent and the Gallup poll … on the last 'fringe' threat showed up to 46 percent. Either way, that's TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans," wrote "JakeD2." Actually, 31 percent of the U.S. population would range about 100 million. If you have any problems with my posts or signature

I disagree SG, AC was a bully during this interview, not to mention he is biased. I am a patriot and believe there are more important issues at hand. But it still doesn't pass the smell test. It comes down to constitutionality. I am not making judgements about obama on this issue. The issue is "why not release the document?" That's all.

There are, of course, a couple possibilities here.
1. The guy is a politically motivated moron.
or
2. He is an honorable guy who sincerely believes that Obama is not eligible for office.
When you consider this, keep in mind that the oath of officers is not the "obey the orders of those appointed above me" one that enlisted people take. The officer oath is to support and defend the Constitution only:
“I, (state your name), having been appointed a (rank) in the United States (branch of service), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the office upon which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Look guys. Think about this for a second. I spend literally every moment of free time trying to find dirt on Obama. I hate him. But even I can see through this bullshit. Theres no way to bust him even if he were illegal. Hawaii gives out certificates of live birth. They are federally recognized. Its like I have a CA drivers license but you say "why not just show your NC drivers license and clear this all up". It doesn't make sense, because my state only issues CA drivers licenses. On top of that his mom was an american citizen and he lived his whole life here. There is no way to burn him even if he werent legit, because his paper trail and record is so legit.
I know this guy is hiding something. but he could never get burned on the birth certificate issue. Hawaii gives out COLB's, it's what they do. They even have 2 newspaper birth announcements citing his name to corroborate it. It's full-proof. Even if he wasn't a citizen there would be literally no possible way to catch him on it.
Don't you see? They are making a "giggle factor" out of this whole thing to try and make republicans look stupid. Theres no way for them to lose. Don't play into their scam is all i'm saying. I wouldn't trust Obama to make me a turkey sandwich but this guys got everyone beat here. There is literally no way to know, and they will say people are only asking now because he is the first black president. It's so full-proof and solid it's disgusting. Im telling you, effort could be better used elsewhere. My 2 cents.
Watch him exempt Goldman Sachs from the financial reform bill. That should be an impeachable offense. F*ck a birth certificate, this guy is literally changing this country for the worst right infront of us. Why worry about taking the pot off the stove when the house is already on fire?

This is simple. He is avoiding a deployment. I saw this a hundred times when I was in. No rank is exempt from it. There are people who have been in for 20 years and somehow never deployed, yet people like my brother have 5 deployments under their belt by the time they are an e-7. This guy was only deployed once (in 18 years of service), and he is trying to avoid it. plain and simple. Does he believe it? I believe he does. But he wouldn't go through a court marshall just to prove his point. This guys is f*cking himself for the rest of his life. he will get dishonorably discharged and it will ruin him. This is not to prove some political point, it is to avoid dying in the desert, i'd put my bottom dollar on that.

Statistically he is more likely to die in the US.

Lol, while it does seem there have been like 6 birther threads today, no one else seems to be posting anything else of interest to fulfill my friday night so f*ck it. Really though, the birther issue is just a no-win situation for anyone. One side says show the proof, the other side has shown the proof and it is not accepted. It's circular. I hate to burst everyones bubble but a COLB is a federally acceptable certificate of birth, therefore he meets the constitutional requirements, end of story.

Its messed up but im telling you, this guy farked himself here. He is not a private, he knows how it works, this is either to gain media attention (wich is also against the rules) or to dodge deployment and nothing else
