    ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. — An East Tennessee woman has been charged with forcing her 5-year-old son to smoke a cigarette.
    A Carter County deputy told the Johnson City Press that 24-year-old Jordon Paige Hensley was arrested Tuesday night on charges of child abuse and neglect, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
    A jail officer said Thursday that Hensley was being held on a $12,500 bond. Jail records did not show if Hensley has hired a lawyer.
    Deputy Cory Tidwell said that in response to a complaint by a witness he stopped Hensley in a car and she told him she she had forced her son to smoke a cigarette because "she was teaching him not to smoke."
    Tidwell also said he found a small bag of marijuana in the car.

      Apparently she was also chasing her son and screaming at him. I am just hoping that her arrest will mean access to parenting classes and resources.

        My mom's dad forced her to smoke a whole cig when she was 8. They were fishing. She turned green and barfed off the boat. That was the only cigarette she has ever smoked

          Where were all these ninny's when my mom was kicking my ass in public? Man i coulda used some state protection, let me tell ya. But of course I wouldn't have turned out to be a good person, if she hadn't wooped me a few times.
          Of course I didn't get a lot of beatings. Hell I'm the 3rd child of 4, I am also intelligent, therefore after seeing the first two get beat, i learned their lesson. Just saying.....

            I had the same treatment as a lad and felt really bad. So I kept puffing fags untill my teens before inhaling smoke. So it kind of worked.

              she went about it the wrong way. she should have took him to the garage and had no way for him to get out. then she could of made him smoke it.
