This letter is about Hitler but written in a way that it aludes to Obama by selectively picking out common events in their past.

Most leaders have a similar story, many leaders campaign on how they will help the poor and bring change, most of them are always good speakers, most of them started by writing their story or their manifesto. This story above applies in one way or another to almost every well known dictator.

yea very selectively. As a senior citizen I have recently had obama on my mind alot. Hes taking so much away from us. in so many ways and making it hard for those of us that are elderly. Most of us have worked hard all our lives to save enough to be able to support ourselves till we pass on. I know so many people that have lost their retirement savings and it pisses me off. I'm doing ok $ wise compared to most but I didn't invest in the typical fashion and I eluded most loss. Except my homes aren't worth what they were 2 years ago. If I sold both now I would lose $150k on the home in arizona and $250k on the home I live in now. The real estate market will get better but never back to where it was. That and my real estate taxes on this home alone went up another $1000 this year alone. Thats alot, added to what it usually is. Talked to the tax comissioner and he said that I live in the third most expensive county in the US. One of the reasons I am moving. I pay in real estate taxes what alot of citizens earn in 1 year. Obama is really screwing us up.

Its true there are several leaders that have a similar background. Its just that obama is fresh on my mind and my contempt for him grows everyday. Funny thing is that when I first met him he was a peon in the democratic system. I didn't like him then. But all the women that were present just loved him. With the backing he had to get elected his populatity rose up so quickly and now his head is so swollen he can't think straight.

and the thing about santa?? ........say it ain't so!
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

My mom is in a similar situation as yours. She canceled her AARP membership (along with thousands of others) because they back this guy. The whole healthcare system revolves around the concept that we charge an extra 17% or so on the younger, more healthy people, and that will support the older, more expensive people. Basically a ponzi scheme like social security, which has proven to be one of the most expensive and not-well-thought-out ideas we've had this century. Inevitably this will have ot lead to rationing , likely in the elder population which is the most costly.

My mom took a big hit in her 401k which already wasn't much to begin with. Obama is very against senior citizens, even though he projects himself in a way that would make people believe he is "fighting for" seniors.

It's funny that the left is not outraged at using our tax dollars to bail out the very criminals that caused this, yet they are fiercly objecting to common sense ways of fixing our budget problems like getting rid of the illegal aliens. Their priorities are completely out of order.

Like Greece, this administration is making itself top heavy, where government jobs are secure and well paying, and the number of these types of jobs is growing. Eventually we will become greece if this ins't fixed, and my main concern is that Obama is throwing money at the problem, providing short term relief, while not addressing the underlying cause of this collapse.

Goldman sachs and the other 3 big banks have had a flawlessly perfect 63 days of trading, profiting each and every day, even as Goldman are under investigation from the SEC. The whole thing is rigged, and not in our favor. Now we are bailing out greece.

The U.S. full-year deficit this year is projected at $1.5 trillion on top of a $1.4 trillion shortfall last year.
White House budget director Peter Orszag told Reuters Insider in an interview on Wednesday that the United States must tackle its deficits quickly to avoid the kind of debt crisis that hit Greece.

What I don't like about Obama (and other presidents) is that they make you think they are one way, then act contrary to that image. For example Obama is hailing the bipartisan vote where the senate voted 96-0 in favor of auditing the fed. So he shouts from the rooftops "look at me, I am auditing the fed! We will get to the bottom of this!", meanwhile, the democrats STRUCK DOWN the actual full audit of the fed and replaced it with a wimpy version of an audit where they are onyl auditing their emergency lending policies. So no real audit, yet he is throwing it in everyones faces like he is TRYING to be bipartisan and do what the republicans want.

The whole thing is deception. "If I pass the stimulis, we won't have unemployment over 8%", yah right, look at what happened, an effective unemployment rate of 20%. Same with everything else he's said. "I am authorizing domestic drilling off of our shores", which after the disaster turned into "That is now off the table, and I am raising the taxes on domestic drilling" therefore making us more dependant on foreign oil in 2 ways, by stopping our drilling and by taxing our domestic oil production.

The cake is a lie. The whole thing is rigged. It's all a scam. His popularity as a celebrity figure will soon fizzle out and there will be revolts in the street. We will see civil unrest akin to the riots happening in greece if this isn't fixed, and fast. But his job is not to fix it, it's to tank it further. Either that or he is just plain stupid. Either way we lose.

Name one modern politician who isn't corrupt or isn't working for the interest of a corporation. Both sides suck, and are as corrupt as they come. Placing blame is the easy part, fixing it is a whole other ball game.
I was raised to never trust the government, so I am rarely surprised when "they" make promises and then clearly break them.

On the drilling side....... I say DRILL IT ALL UP QUICK! We will run out of oil eventually, not in my lifetime, and will have to figure something else out. The sooner the better if you ask me. DRILL DRILL DRILL but also take responsibility for your F*CK UPS!

Your completely correct. All politicians are the same and they have all done these very same things. But, seeing as we only have the ability to controll the current admin and not past ones, I focus on Obama. He tries to play it like he is different, that he will clean up washington, end corporate welfare and get the lobbyists out of washington. He made himself seem like he was different. I of course didn't buy this from the get-go, but so many people STILL believe this lie. He is a politician like all others.

As for drilling, I love alternative energy and there must be way cooler, hightech (and cleaner) ways of making it. Untill we find those however, oil is what we got. Our entire infrastructure is dependant on oil, so we are years away from anything else, even if the tech came out today. We will run out of oil eventually but there is a lot left, and like you said, lets drill it up and use it, the quicker we run out, the quicker the big $$ corps will find something new to sell us once the oil dries up.

As for the safety issue, we need better regulators. Right now they are basically letting the oil companies write their own regulation. And they don't care if oil spills because BP makes enough profit in 4 days to cover costs of cleanup.

This is by no means an endorsement of GW. I too hate both sides of the aisle at this point. But i am pretty sure that man never uttered the words clean up washington to get a vote. I sit back waiting to be proven incorrect......

They all do. The problem is people actually believed this one for some reason. Not sure why, he comes off to me as an egomaniac who will say anything to look popular. Either way, he is the current guy in charge so he gets my focus, not that it will change anything. The machine is too big to fight at this point.

"Hes an eleoquent speaker, likeable, will carry the black vote and a lot of womens votes too and he follows orders well". Almost word for word, THATS WHAT I WAS TOLD WHEN I ASKED MY NEIGHBOR "WHY THAT GUY? Nobody even knows who he is" ..........nuff said about that.

Lets not all forget that its neither the republicans, democrats, right or left that the american people are dealing with. Its the really big money families that are pulling the strings. Our elected government officials are simply the puppets. Its that reason why I don't usually discuss politics. Everyone always bashes one side or the other when we have to remember that they really don't pull the strings. The elections are a facade to make us "think" we have a vote.

My google degree makes me qualified to answer this:

"After years of false statements and empty promises, it's time for big changes in Washington," Bush said. "We need a president who will finally stand up and fight against the lies and corruption. It's time to renew the faith the people once had in the White House. If elected, I pledge to usher in a new era of integrity inside the Oval Office."
"from the very first hour of the very first day"

"The people have spoken," Bush said. "They said they want change. They said it's time to clean up Washington. They're tired of politics as usual. They're tired of the pursuit of self-interest that has gripped Washington. They want to see an end to partisan bickering and closed-door decision-making. If I'm elected, I'll make sure that the American people can once again place their trust in the White House."
