I sideswiped a guy with a similar year Cadillac (I had a 2002 Dodge Intrepid). Both cars were totalled and the impact threw him sideways with a piece of the window giving him a long gash on the head. My shoulder clicked for months from the seatbelt and had pain on my lower chest from the airbag deployment but walked away.

The cops at the time said it was the solid steel frame that kept the other guy from dying on impact but I dont know? if cars are designed better now for sideswipes.

Crazy..............I would have bet on the 59 hands down!!

Looks like in this regard we have come a long way
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

This instantly brought to mind the scene in Back to the Future II when Marty suggests to the doc that they land the DeLorean on Biff, from the past, who is attempting to get away in his car.

Marty : "Let's land on him and cripple his car"
Doc : "Marty, he's in a '46 Ford, we're in a DeLorean - he'd rip through us like we were tinfoil!"

              Perhaps not, lol.

Nah, they all look alike because they're designed to be aerodynamic. Teardrops ftw.

come on guys. you are all smarter than that. Its propaganda from the auto-makers to get you to pay more for imaginary safety features. Of course, its photoshopped.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
