Palin Warns Obama Wants to Ban Guns

Palin Warns NRA Obama Wants to Ban Guns
    Fox News ^ | May 15, 2010 | Associated Press

Palin, a potential 2012 presidential candidate, told National Rifle Association members during their annual meeting that the only thing stopping Obama and his Democratic allies from trying to ban guns is political backlash.
"Don't doubt for a minute that, if they thought they could get away with it, they would ban guns and ban ammunition and gut the Second Amendment," said Palin, a lifelong NRA member who once had a baby shower at a local gun range in Alaska. "It's the job of all of us at the NRA and its allies to stop them in their tracks."
    -----------snip------------
"She said Obama is "the most pro-abortion president ever to occupy the White House" and asserted that the health care law would fund abortions."

Not so much, she's just playing the talking points she thinks republicans want to hear.

Dem president, dem majority, dem supreme court, I mean they could do it if they wanted to. Obama even allowed guns in national parks which the NRA was happy about. Im sure he'd like to take them away, but as president he has shown that he will not.

Palin isn't an idea who is playing on peoples fears to get their support. Just like all those nuts who drove up the prices of ammunition because they thought Obama was going to somehow ban it. Obama has done nothing to ban guns. On the issue of abortion, he is clearly pro choice but has formed a committee to see how we can reduce the number of abortions and he seems to be very concerned about the issue of abortion. Republicans love to make it look like the boogeyman is right around the corner to get support. In fact, the whole party has been hijacked by wackos. In my own opinion, they would get more support by getting back to their basics. Lower taxes, careful spending and a smaller government. I found it hilarious that Bush would be arresting people over medical marijuana and then give some lip service about states rights.

How's that whole "Drill, Baby, Drill" thingee werkin' out fer ya, Sarah?

Look how often she has to look down at her note cards.

Instead of pandering to the NRA she should go down to the gulf and help with the cleanup of the oil spill.
She's already got the waders. She claims to be a fisherman right?

            I don't get this.

I don't care either way about her.

But complaining about her use of notes seems silly. I mean, how are notes "worse" then using a teleprompter?

A teleprompter is reading word for word. It does not require any thinking. The use of notes shows a higher level brain function at work.

god, this is just palin making political hay, that woman will say anything she and her advisors think the people want to hear. i'd love to see her in an unscripted press conference, with any luck she'll get the presidential nomination and provide the nation with some laughs.

I'm not complaining about her use of note cards. I'm complaining about how she uses them.
I feel like I'm watching a speech made by a junior high school student.

Higher brain function? Palin? That's funny.
