Richard Price's Lush Life which is a good read so far.

I read Frankl's Search for Meaning a few years ago it is a great book. "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius is a collection of aphorisms so it is is perfect for ADD reading.

"Meditations" is one of my all time favorite books as well. And your right, perfect for ADD reading since it's kind of all over the place, a lot like sun tzu in a way. You can read a page or two or 30 and get something out of it no matter how much you read at once. Great book.

On to my next book which ive owned for quite some time but have been meaning to read:

        "The true believer"

And excelent book on why we follow mass movements like religion or political parties

        http://brothersjudd.com/index.cfm/fu...il/book_id/743

"Unless a man has the talents to make something of himself, freedom is an irksome burden...We join
a mass movement to escape from individual responsibility, or, in the words of an ardent young
Nazi, 'to be free from freedom.' It was not sheer hypocrisy when the rank-and-file Nazis declared
themselves not guilty of all the enormities they had committed. They considered themselves
cheated and maligned when made to shoulder responsibility for obeying orders. Had they not
joined the Nazi movement in order to be free from responsibility? "

It's like religion. I can be a wife beating alcoholic with 7 wifes and still obstain myself from any guilt because I pray to jesus. Or I can fight for the army and justify killing others because "it's for my country", whereas normally I would never kill a man etc. Great book for anyone who enjoys many of the topics I post about on snuson.

I agree with danielan, this and the Dark Tower series are great.

Bag of Bones is one of my favorites from King.

sgreger, you really should read any and all books by Christopher S. Hyatt, Robert Anton Wilson, and Antero Alli, if you haven't already. You've got just the right sort of mindset to appreciate their ideas.

Oh, and BTW, I'm currently reading The Psychopath's Bible by Christopher S. Hyatt, and Last Words by George Carlin & Tony Hendra.

I just finished "Reign of Cthulhu", a collection of short stories dealing with circumstances on earth after the return of Cthulhu/elder gods. Pretty good read, one stand out was written by a guy named Laird Barron.........it was good enough that I might search him up on amazon.

I'm currently reading Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston A. Price, Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield, and Obsidian Butterfly by Laurel K. Hamilton. Mostly I like reading historical fiction and non-fiction, and sci-fi/fantasy/horror stuff. Also anything about sports is good.

I also love reading manga, both in English and Japanese. Ongoing series that I'm reading right now are Bleach, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles, xxxHolic, Hetalia, Gundam 00 and 00F, Code Geass, and basically anything I find that looks interesting. I like anything with lots of action, mechs, drama, and also humorous stuff.

Thanks PipernSnus, i'll definately have to check out those authors!

After I got home yesterday I finished that short story "The Machine Stops"

Reading through it was horrible, the spelling was blatantly off on certain words and letters missing made it hard to digest, I had to read almost every line either slowly or twice. But the story was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love reading early 1900's books that deal with science fiction or how they perceived the future would be. They are usually semi-right but it's just a different "future" vision they had back then than we do now (for obvious reasons).
