Also, you might be interested in the Dark Tower comic book series that Marvel is doing.

The series is done in 5 or 6 issue mini-series. The first one is based on the books, the rest have been new material. All approved by King himself.

I haven't been reading much for the last 5 years or so, but I really need to get back into it. I just finished The Hobit this morning because someone left it in the bathroom LOL. I used to enjoy Hemingway and Tom Robbins quite a bit.

I've read the first four books of the Dark Tower series, and I love it.

Right now I'm reading Sleep No More by Greg Iles. He's probably my favorite author. If you've never read any of this books, I would highly suggest him to you.

I was waiting until i could find a first edition hard back copy of Under The Dome and finally found one locally. Saved about 10 bucks from what i would have spent off amazon. Only a little ways into it (huge book, over 1000 pages) but it is great so far.

I'll have to check him out; endorsement by Stephen King doesn't hurt lol. I am a huge Stephen King fan, the majority of my collection are his books (see librarything link a few posts above).

I have yet to get any of the Dark Tower graphic novels (comics for the layman) but have definitely been interested in them. I will pick them up at some point. There is also a series of graphic novels of The Stand which i need to get as well.

I love Tom Robbins, he is such a joy to read. Did you know he only writes a few paragraphs or less per day? It's apparent with how mindblowing and poetic his metaphors are, not to mention hilarious. "Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates" is his best in my opinion. Pure genious. "Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas" was pretty awesome too, especially when Larry gets caught stuffing those leaves up his ass. Tom502 would love the alien-origin musings in that book, and star-worship. Have you read it Tom?

Dust of Dreams by steven erikson, freaking brilliant fantasy series. Probably surpassed Game of Thrones for me.

My fave Robbins' books are Jitterbug Perfume and Skinny Legs and All but they are all quite worthwhile reading.

I forgot about The Stand graphic novels. I have the first mini in floppy form, and decided to pick the rest up in the collected edition.

Also, Vertigo Comics has a new series out that is called American Vampire. Stephen King is writing part of the first five issues. First comic he's actually written. The first four have already come out, and it's pretty good.

                              Sounds interesting.

I only recently discovered the Vertigo Crime sub-imprint in my local library. The Ian Rankin one featuring John Constantine, Dark Entries, I found a little disappointing; but the Jason Starr one, The Chill, was great.
