DHS/ICE Say they will NOT deport any illegals Arizona refers to them.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010...erred-arizona/

Do you guys agree with this? Not even the arizona law, but the fact that ICE, whos only job is to deal with immegration, is making a political protest by not deporting illegals from a certain state, no matter the circumstance?

Is it even legal for the gov to do that, single out 1 state and say that they won't investigate any criminals from a particular state?

How can DHS make us walk through naked body scanners for our "security" but outright refuse to secure the border, which is where the 9-11 terrorists came through (the northern). I don't get it, this is criminal insanity for them to just say "We will no longer do our job, thanks for your tax dollars"

I need to get a job at ice, they never do their job and probably get paid to just sit and watch porn all day.

    I hope it's just a rumor.

"If he feels he cannot enforce the law, he shouldn't have the job," Sessions told Fox News. "That makes him, in my view, not fulfilling the responsibilities of his office."
If this is real, the same should be said of Obama. Our leaders jam the "rule of law" BS down our throats every chance they get. Part of this "rule of law" is effective, consistent enforcement.

        Not a rumor:

John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, made the comment during a meeting on Wednesday.
Said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.

Meanwhile, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said ICE is not obligated to process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.
"ICE has the legal discretion to accept or not to accept persons delivered to it by non-federal personnel," Napolitano said. "It also has the discretion to deport or not to deport persons delivered to it by any government agents, even its own."

Translation: Federal government is making a political protest by selectively NOT enforcing existing law in a certain state. They are pushing this so that Obama's immegration reform will look like a good thing. The feds had their chance for 70 years and have failed, so a reformed "federal approach" (read as amnesty) to it will not work.

Maybe it's because it is being called unconstitutional in the first place, and ICE is trying to maintain sovereignty and sole discretion at the federal level? Just a guess. (No I'm not being sarcastic, that is me taking a stab at answering your question)

Well it's been law for 70 years and they havn't struck it down yet, so I don't think it will be a problem. They had a whole team of lawyers that knew this would be challenged. It weirds me out that people who are against this bill are willing to go to the lengths of condoning a federal agency openly saying they will no longer be doing their job. No court has said it's unconstitutional and for the DHS/ICE to just say they refuse to process criminals from a certain state out of protest is amazing.

Anyways, this law toughens existing laws and makes it harder to profile than it was before, so if anything, this is a civil rights victory. Previously there was no stipulation against racial profiling and it was done routinely, this law closes that loophole, anyone who supports civil rights should be applauding this law for strictly banning racial profiling. I am going to laugh when this is all said and done and people are caught on the wrong side of this debate.

hahhhaaa I remember when I was a kid they taught us that government is an institution of the people and only exists to carry out and enforce the people's will.

That was total bulldung. In the last ten years I've seen nothing but arrogant, authoritarian, self-righteous morons doing as they please and telling the people to go pound salt. Where's the god damned accountability?

              Vote them ALL out.

Having entirely green politicians could not possibly be worse than these stuck in the rut lobbyist fed degenerates in power now.

What kind of track record of experience does Pelosi and Obama have anyway?

You oughta have a resume that fits on more than two pages and a track record of accomplishments to even qualify for federal office.

Audit the Federal Reserve and outlaw lobbyists. Throw anyone in jail who even thought about not doing their job in the best interests of our country. Outlaw any manner of profiteering after office. No book deals for cash, no speaking engagements for moola. After office go get a real job. And where in the real world do employees, (think congressmen) get to vote in their own pay raises. And who the hell thought it would be Kosher to give any of them a golden parachute of retirement income and healthcare, even if they only serve one term.

Give the States their rights back. All states should ween themselves off the crystal meth that is known as federal funds.
