Graffiti Message on Victoria Street: '**** Obama'
    Victoria Advocate ^ | Wednesday, May 26, 2010 |
Posted on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 9:32:25 PM
Rather than voice their opinions about the president on Facebook or via a letter to the editor, a vandal chose to deface Nursery Drive with anti-Obama graffiti.
"I think it's a shame. Somebody needs to clean it up," Don Polzin, executive director of Gulf Bend Center, one of several businesses near the graffiti, said Wednesday. "It's disrespectful to our president and disrespectful to his position."
He continued, "We're kindly asking the city to come clean it up."
The graffiti is located in several places along the entire stretch of roadway. One message says to "Kill Obama." Others call him a communist and a liar.
Area businesses gave different accounts of when they first noticed the graffiti, making it impossible to pinpoint exactly when it first appeared. However, their timeline ranged from eight to two months ago.
Melissa Perez, 34, said it appeared the perpetrator has been periodically refreshing the graffiti as it has worn away, the most recent refreshment being around two weeks ago.
However, she said, she has not heard many complaints about it from fellow staff or clients.
"I haven't heard one comment," said Perez, who works at Victoria ENT Associates. "It just doesn't look nice."
Victoria Police Department records for the last month showed only one complaint had been made about the graffiti on Nursery Drive.
O.C. Garza, communications director for the city of Victoria, said the city is taking steps to get rid of the graffiti.

For the few who might be wondering the piece is about Victoria, Texas which is a small town about 50-60 miles southwest of Houston.

"Somebody needs to clean it up,"
"We're kindly asking the city to come clean it up."

See this is the problem. "Omg, someone with some official title please dispatch a commission to find a contractor to come fix this for us because we are incapable!". We used to clean up graffiti in our town all the time. Takes the city to long, that is if they ever come.

Hey, they can hire someone to clean this and count it as a job created.

i think instead of calling the cops and the city to clean it up, the peolple in the town of Victoria should call Pre Obama and tell him to stop being a commie and a lier. dont back down on the enviromental, foriegn, and domestic policys you promised, and that got you elected.

and then inform the media all over the country..

theres crazy acts going on in different states all over the country that could be seen as " homebred terrorism" or "threats" but the national media isnt touching it with a ten foot pole.. like all the flash mobs.

Is that not the biggest ruse! The whole jobs created deal while the same amount being vanished should not be a talking point at this point in the recession.

Yea, calling the census workers "job growth" is pretty goofy too.

You hear the newest news about the census? They will hire someone for a day, fire then then rehire them to work a diff position, and report it as a new job created each time to the dept of labor. Some of the people interviewed had been hired 4 times and had only worked maybe 1 week (but it counted as 4 jobs). The dept of labor counts a job as being "created" as long as a person works at least 1 hour a month. What a joke.

Can you believe that shit? Lol, not that it wasn't obviouse that they would, for the sake of looking good as politicians, make everything count as a new job so the numbers would be higher. But I thought that was a little extreme.

The painter's tagging skills are horrendous. If you're going to do graffiti, at least make the letter structure appealing to look at. By the way, what is a "comie"?

Well you can't really go out into the middle of the road and start scrubbing away. Just sayin'...
