Drink 'like eating 68 bits of bacon'
A 2,000-CALORIE milkshake that is the equivalent of 68 rashers of bacon and 30 chocolate-chip cookies has been dubbed the worst drink in the US.

Made with chocolate ice cream, milk and peanut butter, the drink - called the Cold Stone PB&C - packs a whopping 2,010 calories, 131 grams of fat - 68 grams of which is saturated - and a massive 153 grams of sugar.
It topped the Men's Health 20 Worst Drinks in America 2010 list, beating a McDonald's Triple Thick Chocolate Milkshake to the post.
    Delicious
The magazine said on its website: "In terms of saturated fat, drinking this Cold Stone catastrophe is like slurping up 68 strips of bacon."
"Health experts recommend capping your saturated fat intake at about 20 grams per day, yet this beverage packs more than three times that into a cup..."
But this information didn't bother tourists in Marina Del Rey, California as they sampled a large - Gotta Have It - size of the ice cream milkshake.
Christopher Fields, who is visiting the beach town from Hammond, Indiana, said: "It's delicious. I would definitely have it again."
When told the milkshake is nearly the equivalent of the recommended daily calorie intake for men, the chubby 45-year-old said: "I don't care."
Patting his stomach he said: "I'd drink it without difficulty. I'd probably have it once a week."
Mum-of-two Anna Simard from Vancouver was a bit more sceptical.
The 40-year-old, who was vacationing with her husband Dennis and their two children Ava, eight, and Declan, ten, said: "It's great. The kids would love it.
"But I wouldn't have it that much because of the calorie intake."
It may be a hit with the tourists but Josh Fein, who runs the Marina Del Rey ice cream eatery says the health conscious locals are not that keen on the PB&C shake.
The 32-year-old says: "We probably only sell about eight to ten of those a week and mostly to tourists."
The health conscious Marina Del Rey residents are more likely to be seen sipping from a Sinless Smoothie, which is laced with the no-calorie sweetener Splenda.
Often seen on roller blades, a bike, walking their dogs or clutching a surf board, Fein says they seem to shun the Cold Stone PB&C.
"Our most popular drink is Strawberry Bonanza," he says. "It's made with strawberries, bananas and orange juice and are just 110 calories for a small cup."
According to the Eat This, Not That Men's Health column the second worst drink in America is the Peanut Power Plus Grape from Smoothie King.
A large cup is worth roughly 1,500 calories.
The McDonald's Triple Thick Chocolate Shake comes in third.
A large cup of that is worth 1,160 calories or the equivalent of 13 McDonald's apple pies.

Shakes are totally out of control.

I was in Chicago I think. And I went to White Castle... Maybe it was Ohio... Sorry - going senile.

    Anyway, going to White Castle...

Ordered an undisclosed number of cheeseburgers. And a large shake. It was massive. Well over the 20 oz that a large shake should be. Super-sized... Ended up pouring 3/4 of it out.

And we wonder why we're so fat... Wait til Cold Stone hits the Walmart demographic. Total arterial devistation. For now, let them cruise by Micky D's on their way out to the parking lot for the triple-bypass milkshake or whatever it's called.

It sounds awesome, but seriously I have no interest in consuming a shake that big. I would have to split it with somebody. That thing would wreak so much havoc on my GI track, it could never be worth it. But it does sound delicious.

When told the milkshake is nearly the equivalent of the recommended daily calorie intake for men, the chubby 45-year-old said: "I don't care." That's my policy on Chipotle burritos. Newsflash whole cream mixed with ice cream and sugar is bad for you in case you didn't know that. Yeah I had a large DQ cookie Blizzard some time ago and it made me feel like I was going to die.

I'd drink it. But they shouldn't compare it to bacon, bacon does not have the fat making propensity as that shake does.
