I think it is still mostly peaceful.

While the number of cops and border patrol that should be shot is certainly zero, I think the actual number of them being shot is pretty small.

The coyotes that smuggle the peacefull illegals in are armed, so each convoy is armed and therefore potentially dangerous. The reason more officers don't get shot is that they have all but stopped trying to even intervene. It's not worth getting shot when the feds will just let them go anyways.

It must be the cops getting shot, I can't find any stats on them.

The Border Patrol doesn't seem to get killed very often - like 110 since 1919 and many of these seem to be heart attacks or accidents.

I think the Arizona law should be enacted in all the states. This should be a straight up question for all politicians like their stance on taxes, abortion or gay marriage. Time to make it a yes or no answer. A solid 2010 issue which 65%-70% of the country could get behind.

Will you support enacting a similar immigration law like Arizonas in your in your state? if not vote them out.

Maybe sgreger or someone will want to find the actual link, or maybe even make a new thread for it, if interested, but I've been reading this interesting thread on above top secret about a group of people affiliated with an American neo-Nazi group, are going to be doing border patrol in AZ. The idea is, it's sad that because our "nation" refuses to halt a foreign invasion of our country, a much socially disliked group is the one who is making some effort to protect the border from invaders.

Maybe something like a national protect the border week would be a good start. This would include all Americans.
The goal to shut down the illegals for one full week.

It could be a camping event with lectures, concerts and festivities. People would be given small shifts by actual border patrol for areas to protect. No firearms but just a presence and reporting.

BoyScouts and GirlScouts would be included in helping with guest services and events.

Well, that too! I was thinking about the reporters most recently. But either way it is the same penalty. But I think the North Koreans get sent to work camps which is the same as prison then they are accidentally shot!

I heard they are going to use "wartime" rules for the US prisoners, though not sure what that means. Sucks to be them right now.
