Aid ship attacked by Israeli soldiers

I'm interested to hear some of the opinions on this especially sgregers before I voice my own.

It seems like the facts are coming out now.

The only thing I'm in doubt about at the moment is whether or not Israel were legally allowed to board the boat in international waters.

Apparently there was plenty of notice to the ships captain that the soldiers were going to board and what the soldiers intentions were - to escort the boat to Ashdod.

Attacked ship was Turkish and Turkey is a NATO country and attack on one member is attack on whole alliance. Time for a new crusade to Holy Land!

There doesn't seem to be any concern in the news that the boat was boarded in international waters so maybe it was in fact acceptable or legal.

I think I'll just come out and say it - what kind of fecking numpty eyed tit tries to take a weapon off a soldier and expect not to get shot? Now - I'm no huge fan of Israel but the soldiers intentions were clear and polite - they were attacked, and there you have the end product for attacking and trying to take a soldiers gun.
Exactly the same as firing rockets into Israel - WTF do you expect? Don't give it if you can't take it.
If it was the US you'd blow the complete sh!t out of them - same with the UK - but it's OK for us to do it for some reason.

I don't know the whole story yet but I couldn't agree more.

Try to wrestle a weapon away from me.... I dare ya. lol

                      EDIT:
I just read a little about this and something doesn't smell right to me.
I stand by my agreement with Frosted but have to ask a question.
What would you do if you were boarded without warning and by an unknown group?

Maybe it was the Swedish writer Henning Mankell, that tried to take the weapon from an Israeli commando soldier....no way mr Nationalist....this is piracy on a high level, and their (Israeli) abuse of violence have now reach the top/bottom

The Turkish ship was illegally boarded. Those that tried to seize the invader's weapons are heroes and patriots. That's the kind of thing we give medals for ;^)

Wasn't this flotilla's stated goal to run the blockade to Gaza?

I am not any sort of expert, but it seems like running a blockade is one of those things that might get you shot.

I'll have more sympathy if there is just humanitarian supplies on those ships.

If there are any weapons discovered that are bigger then a slingshot, then my opinion turns completely against them.
