What is this I don't even...thanks for the laugh sgreger. Part of me thinks these people must be trolls, no one can seriously be that stupid. If they are serious, it's nice to see that neither the left nor the right have a monopoly on idiocy.
The last 2 letters are such dumb obvious gay baiting that they don't even deserve response. But the first one is kind of interesting. I guess the person never considered that evolution weeds out people whose genes are not fit to allow them to survive to procreate. So if his 7 year old nephew died from cancer, it was evolution's way of eliminating him from passing on his bad genes. It actually argues for evolution, not against it. Of course modern medical science allows all sorts of people with bad genes to survive who would not otherwise, so natural selection is really not in play now, as it would have been hundreds of years ago. The writer of this letter also apparently doesn't consider all of the environmental factors, which are man made, pollution, chemicals in food, etc. that can cause cancer.
His rant about dinosaurs and birds makes no sense to me at all.
BTW I don't think science and religion are mutually exclusive at all. Don't people that have this view ever consider that God gave us intelligence so we could use science to figure things out? Though apparently He gave some of us more than others.

I, like Tom, don't believe in God as the traditional "invisible man in the sky" type. I also don't see why god and evolution need to be enemies. If there was a god, than we know he created things the way he did, and likely created all the processes of the universe such as gravity, energy, and evolution. He would in theory exist outside of space and time and therefore would know what the end result would be. This just bumps against the christians because the bible says god snapped his finger over a period of 6 days and that the earth is only 6k years old.
The mark of wisdom is knowing when you are wrong and moving forward and reforming your view based on the new evidence. This is the same concept in science. We now know the earth is not 6k years old, so lets move forward and figure more out, not desperately hold on to an idea written down in a book a few thousand years ago. It doesn't prove god doesn't exist as that is impossible to do.
God imo is just the energy of the universe, the math that calculates all the processes happening at every moment, the software upon which this holographic universe is built. Plus once we discover other life on places like Titan we can finally do away with all this creationism nonsense.

Not really evolution, but religion/god were also mentioned in the OP, funny stuff though:
