So, what's the general consensus here on evolution?

How come when I think about my wife having big tities this whole sound theory never seems to work.

When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Dog man the multiverse gang of cosmologists "explain" things by postulating a infinity of universes and we just "happen" to inhabit one that will support our sort of life and sentience. Could be, could not be. Don't care. As Kinky Friedman might say we should just "let it lay where Jesus flang it". In udder woids we might as well accept it--can't change it--I don't wanna change it--our 'verse is far too fascinating a place to spend a great deal of time worrying about first causes. What I am worried about is that Einstein might be right that the ultimate velocity of our universe is the speed of light. If so then we are trapped here in this winky-dink corner of the cosmos and, at best, can explore only the very immediate neighborhood. What a pity that would be.

Also I really don't care even if _____________(fill in choice of deity or lord high overseer) created or is wrangling the whole magilla. If He did He screwed up royally and gave me a questing mind, I've exercised it a bit, and it has me convinced that if He does exist He has arranged virtually the entirety of what our sensoria can observe to prove he's doing a really lousy job all things considered.

              Bro I hear you

I often stand perplexed and broken hearted by what I see

              But here’s the thing

Why do we claim free will, a universe where we have given up believing in invisible friends (classic line by the way JT) and then proceed to use all the shit that WE DO TO EACH OTHER as grounds for our disgust in whatever god may be out there? The way I see it, we are the ones doing a lousy job. In fact, I often think we are simply proving that man does not exist.

But there are many things that happen in the world that are beyond man’s control. These too perplex me. Consider: if the world is indeed uncreated and all we encounter is simply impersonal facts (no divine purpose, no ultimate reason) then wherein is the tragic and why do we continue to be so up set by it. Tragedy in this case is no more than inconvenience. Thus to ask, “Why do good people suffer? There must be no God!” In essence is no more than a silly way of saying that somewhere, something did not go someone’s way today. But such certainly doesn’t tells us anything profound about the state of the cosmos or the existence of God ………..does it…………..apart from the fact that if there is a god it’s not me and so I don’t always get my way?

We at least need to be aware how often we unreflectively flip flop between two alien and incompatible views of the worlds. One where there is meaning and thus where tragedy is actual and identifiable. And one where there is no meaning and thus no sorrow, tragedy, or human worth……only inconvenience.

Let us at least be consistent. Let us not assume the categories from a world of purpose and meaning in order to deny that very purpose and meaning. If we are going to complain that bad shit happens and the whole place is f*@ked up then let’s make sure that those categories are intelligible given our basic assumptions about the world. Otherwise the arguments in which they are used and the purposes for which they are directed…. simply vanish.

                Does it?

Aren't there observable, quantifiable things we can point to that suggest that "evolution" is "continuing"? What we're really asking is how things ARE, but we stay mired in this mind-set of how things "were", how things came to be. But "creation" isn't something that "happened". "It" is STILL HAPPENING. That, imho, is what evolutionary theory, cosmological theory, and probably even several religions seem to tell us.

And I believe in the evolution of titties. Some are small, some are big, some are huge.

                  I got the proof:
