Black Man Arrested for 'Trespassing' on Own Property

Homeowner was blasted with pepper spray, struck with a nightstick; handcuffed, wrapped in a blanket and hauled -- naked -- out of his home, according to a neighbor and what the man says police later told him.

"In New York I didn't even call the police. I wanted to, but i couldn't. My crib was too nice. Not that it's too nice, but it's too nice for me. You know how the police are in New York. Soon as I open the door, they'd be like. Ha, he's still here! Open and shut case, Johnson. Apparently this black guy broke in and hung up pictures of his family everywhere. Never seen anything like it." -Dave Chappelle

Yup, which is why I'm not a fan of the Arizona law either. This one made the papers. How many don't?

Lol, you know i'm not letting that one slide Lx. This article is also why i hate the IRS and the federal reserve. <-- See what I just did, I took something about one thing and tied it to another thing which had nothing to do with the first.

Please explain how Arizona law would in any way allow this situation or a similar situation to play out?

He can be called Louis Gates II except it sounds like there's less of a legitimate case since gates was climbing in through a window.

Edit: mixed up towns thought harvard was in Connecticut.

If a black guy gets arrested in his own house(!), what do you think's gonna happen to the brown people down south? They're gonna be hounded by the cops every time they go to the store. I don't give a shit what you're trying to stop. As soon as citizens are negatively affected, you've(the government's) gone the wrong way of the law.

So we should repeal every law ever? No death sentence, hell no court at all, I mean if even 1 innocent gets convicted we have to scrap the whole thing right?
In fact, we should repeal the law that makes home invasion a crime, I mean if even 1 citizen is negatively affected by it like the case above, surely the law is racist and we gotta get rid of it.

Because most laws don't directly target brown people. If you think it won't be abused, you're delusional.

That's the same pc bullshit people use to say we shouldn't drug test welfare recipients because it may be racist against blacks. The same people who claim pro-choice laws are racist for being part of a conspiracy to get blacks to stop procreating since blacks get the most abortions. You are telling me, as a man of your age, that we should never have any border laws because the majority of illegal immegrants are of a certain race? Should we not go to wars with other nations that are primarily a certain race because it is racist?

LOGIC Lx, how can we have a society of rule and just laws without using any logic. Never do anything that might piss anyone off, is that the goal? Impossible.

How can we be a free nation ran by reasonable laws if it is unlawfull to write reasonable laws or have freedom in the first place? Do you believe Obama's tax increase on cigarettes is wrong because it directly targets the poor, or that anti-cigar laws would directly target cuban people?

And that isn't the law now Lx? Cops can't do that now? If a cop wanted to be racist, you don't think they could go off and do it by citing some small violation to pull over some black guy? So i'll take your silence on the issue as a yes to my questions, no border laws because the majority of illegals are of a different race? How can we ever move forward with such ideology behind our decisions. As white people we should all start committing murder on blacks, then we can claim hate crime laws are racist against white people since the majority of people breaking hate crime laws are white. <--- That is the logic you have subscribed to.

This law makes it harder to profile and makes it more difficult to profile than the current law. You are opposing something that adds "race cannot be a determining factor" to current laws. HOW IS THAT A BAD THING. It means if you show up to court, you better be able to prove why you ticketed this guy because if you say race it's 1 strike and you're out.

Will someone abuse it? Yah, but that doesn't mean shit about anything since at one point every law has been abused. We would all be living in the desert wiping our shit with leaves if we existed in the society you imagine.

No offense meant to you Lx, but your logic here is not compatible with civilization or a western democracy in which we require laws to enforce certain basic things like immigration rules.

The law gives implicit consent to racial profiling. Profiling isn't allowed guys(wink) that's why we specifically prohibited it with this bill(nudge). All we expect from you is to do your usual fine job of protecting our fine state's citizenry, and if you turn up some illegals, well all the better, right?

What implicit consent may look like:

                            D. A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY,
CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE MAY NOT CONSIDER
RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS SECTION
                            EXCEPT TO
THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE UNITED STATES OR ARIZONA CONSTITUTION.

Those racists are at it again, eh Lx?

If you find trouble with the above wording, than surely you disapprove of every law ever written. The healthcare bill doesn't say anything about not using race as a deciding factor, does that make it double racist?

I can't believe you're arguing this with me. I've seen profiling, I've BEEN profiled. With all the shit running around the news, and legislators screaming about illegals, what other conclusion can cops come to? They usually aren't held responsible for their actions in the best of times. What about now when they're TOLD to find illegals?
