Birther Nut Orly Taitz Cali. GOP Secretary of State?

Orly Taitz wins the Republican Primary in California.

    Nice one California!
Orly Taitz, an immigrant from the former Soviet Urinal.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orly_Taitz

Orly Taitz (born August 30, 1960) is a Moldovan-American dentist and lawyer[5][6] who is a leading figure in the "birther" movement, which challenges whether Barack Obama is a natural-born citizen eligible to serve as President of the United States. She also promotes a number of other allegations both related and unrelated to Obama.

Taitz alleges that Barack Obama due to his father's nationality is not a natural born citizen of the United States and therefore not qualified to serve as its president. She furthermore claims he was born in Kenya and that he falsified his Selective Service papers and his application to the Illinois bar.[18] Regarding Obama, Taitz has said: "I believe he is the most dangerous thing one can imagine, in that he represents radical communism and radical Islam: He was born and raised in radical Islam, all of his associations are with radical Islam, and he was groomed in the environment of the dirty Chicago mafia. Can there be anything scarier than that?"[19]

Other Obama-related rumors Taitz has repeated include:

    * A number of homosexuals from Obama's former church have died mysteriously.
    * Obama has dozens of social security numbers, and his passport is inaccurate. Taitz claims that a person who was cooperating with the FBI in connection with Obama's passport died mysteriously, "shot in the head".
    * A Kenyan birth certificate with the name "Barack Obama" is authentic.
    * Obama's first act as president was to donate money to Hamas, which she claims will be used to build Qassam rockets.
    * Obama or someone connected to him has made threats to Taitz's life, including vandalizing her car.[14]
    * Obama is having the Federal Emergency Management Agency build internment camps for "Anti-Obama dissidents".[12]

Taitz also has supported a number of other theories not directly related to Obama, including: that Goldman Sachs runs the United States Treasury,[19] that Baxter International has developed a bird flu vaccine that kills people,[19] that Representative Alcee Hastings and the House of Representatives are planning to build at least six labor camps,[19] that Hugo Chavez owns the software that runs American voting machines,[14] that FactCheck is untrustworthy because of its links to the Annenberg Foundation,[14] and that Fox News is partly owned by Saudi Arabia.[19] Taitz has also advocated numerous Internet-related theories, including complaints about alleged PayPal attacks and the previous deletion of her Wikipedia entry and allegations that Google improperly flagged her web page as an attack site and suppressed search results for her name.[14]

Back from diner with my daughters great great grandpa, I will touch this one. First of all, I live in CA so this is especially relevant for me so here's my take on it:

What The FU*K. Seriously, Orly Taitz? Is this going to have to be the first time in my life that I vote for the democrats? I've voted for shitty republican candidates my whole life, but I will not be on the record voting for this nutjob. Not even because of her birther mania, she is just flat out crazy, I wouldn't let her be secretary of handing out napkins in my strip club bathroom let alone my state.

Early signs of gloom for Orly Taitz in California
Despite plenty of hype over the past 24 hours, early California returns have birther movement activist Orly Taitz losing badly in the GOP primary for California Secretary of State. Votes are being counted quickly in voter-rich Los Angeles and San Diego County, where she's losing by a 3-1 margin -- just about the margin in the rest of the state.
Alvin Greene's bizarre upset win in South Carolina was proof that under-funded candidates can win races that the electorate isn't paying much attention to. Damon Dunn, a black Republican and first-time candidate who's drubbing Taitz, didn't spend much more money than her. But he spent enough.

Regardless, I think we need to take a look at what this situation implies. Even though she will lose, the fact is that there was actually decent support for her here. That means somewhere in California she actually has a fan base and almost won a primary. I mean, really? This is like if karl marx was running for congress in CA, it would mean there has been a seriouse shift in the tide and a sign that extremism is being supported by a decent number of people in our state. I can't believe she has one supporter, IN CA OF ALL PLACES. It's just weird man, this election is going to be a doosey.
