    Any Musicians Here?

Looking to find out if there are any people who play with themselves or in a band?

    What kind of style?

    Instrument?

Me, I have been playing drums since age 4 so about 35 years now. I mostly play rock/prog rock/fusion/funk

I have played in several bands and have opened for or toured with many national acts such as Fog Hat, Molley Hatchet, Tesla, Alanis Morrisette, Brother Cane, Queensryche, Great White, and Jason Bonham to name a few.

I play guitar. Took lessons for a year when I was in sixth grade, and have been teaching myself ever since....I'm 33 now.

Over the years, I've played all sorts of different styles.....GnR and all the hair band stuff to Nirvana and all the Grunge stuff. I still listen to what I listened to as a teenager which is Nirvana, Alice in Chains and all the Grunge-era stuff.

A few years ago, I really got into Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel and have been teaching myself to play fingerstyle guitar as well.

I play guitar, but was never fortunate enough to get in a band. I play a Schecter Hellraiser. Everything from 70's rock to Gothic Doom to Black and Death Metal. I really wish I would have stuck with my guitar lessons and took some classes on musical theory. I can play by ear most of the time, but if you tell to play a song in a certain key or to play a G chord I have no idea what to do.

The Brewery. No, I know what you mean..... yeah, I think it is the Brewery. I saw a lot of bands there, Type O for one. I was thinking Phoenix Hill, it has 2 floors, but the Brewery is the bigger one, I think they have changed their name, and it might be closed now.

I know this much, whoever invented tablature should be given a Pulitzer Prize. The last time I was able to read sheet music was when my teacher assigned me Mary Had a Little Lamb. I think that's why I quit taking lessons. I was wanting to learn how to play rock n' roll, not nursery rhymes. Looking back, I realize he was just trying to build a foundation for me.

I get get my way around a saxophone pretty well though I haven't played that in a band in 15 years. Wedding stuff mostly, but I prefer classical so much more.

I'm self-teaching the guitar, mostly fingerstyle acoustic but I do have an electric that I play when my brother feels like banging on his drums. I've only started playing 3 years ago so i'm still in the beginning stages (perhaps I'd be further along if I had taken lessons like I did as a kid with the sax) but currently working on some Red Hot Chili Peppers tunes.
