I have a great love for traditional Irish music and have been playing it for about 4 years now. I like to play mandolin, tenor banjo, tinwhistle, keyless wooden flute, and most recently the bouzouki, depending on my mood.
Any Musicians Here?

My Father-in-law picked up a fiddle at an estate sale and gave it to me with some books wanting me to learn to play it.
But with a one year-old daughter, it's kind of hard to find time.

I play bass and violin. I was forced to take violin and music theory from when I was 8 until I was 14.
I've been playing electric bass ever since (16 years). I was in a few mteal bands but can play pretty much anything that interests me. I really need to work on my slap and two hand tapping and probably should take a few refresher lessons on that. The really technical metal is my favorite stuff to play so I've beed dragging my heels on the lessons. I gave up bands when my son was born. I still practice for at least 10-16 hours a week when I should be sleeping.
I haven't touched a violin in years though.

I can't do it when she sleeps because it would wake her. I can't wear headphones because I have to make sure she's not screaming her head off. If I play when she's awake, she pulls the cable out of my guitar and changes all the settings on my amp. If she wasn't so damn cute and lovable I'd send her off to the circus.

What kind of style?
Instrument?
Me, I have been playing drums since age 4 so about 35 years now. I mostly play rock/prog rock/fusion/funk
I have played in several bands and have opened for or toured with many national acts such as Fog Hat, Molley Hatchet, Tesla, Alanis Morrisette, Brother Cane, Queensryche, Great White, and Jason Bonham to name a few.

I have dabbled with several instruments and have a VERY wide range of music tastes: piano, harmonica (diatonic & chromatic), various styles of flutes (if it can be fingered and blown, I've probably played it), gusli, tinwhistle, bodhran, still looking for a good price on a set of pipes since I have been playing the chanter, autoharp, various odd percussion instruments, zither and hammered dulcimer.
