Went to the local gun shop yesterday and bought a nice little pocket knife. Xobe you would love the opening mechanism, the little Kershaw opens as fast as any automatic switchblade, flick of the rest not needed. perfect little suit knife for $30 on sale. It is not a tactical or fighting knife but a sweet little knife. I must have have clicked it open 200 times since yesterday.
It is about 5 1/4 when open

I saw the picture of your blade and that is an awesome blade man. A little too big for my hands though. I have been looking at the native by spyderco (the only spyderco which is normal looking and not weird) it is about 7" open and about $50 on ebay but is not the most attractive knife. SOG makes some good-looking knives but I am not sure what the reliability is like, I will be on the look.
p.s. I need to shrink the pic above. The large size is throwing off the margins, hard to read.

Lucky, I think it is just the PIKA series that are import, the rest are made here. Spyderco is doing the same, they have a cheap import series around $20. In a way it is shame that these good companies with excellent products are cheapening their names & also moving the work to Asian countries for cheaper labor and subsequently create a cheaper product too.
The picture shows the imported Benchmade Pika which sells for $19.99
p.s. I should stop talking about knives on this thread. I think there is a knife thread somewhere.

Amazing Benchmade test. Spyderco puked on a similar test performed by the French guy. I know what I am going to buy

Benchmade rocks. They make one of the most reliable blades. It is a great privilege to own one of those babies in Eastern Europe. very prestigious to flick one open in any blade community. How about a knife thread to discuss different tactical or EDC knives, different types of steel and steel blades, maybe some pictures. It seems like there are couple of guys here who are into knives.

i am looking forward to trying the bm out. i have been carrying a kershaw leek for a few years. a blackout before that. i tried to carry a buck that i won on a tip board. it is a nice knife, but it opened up in my pocket twice. once i cut myself slightly. the other time it cut through my jeans and the seat on the bus. i've heard a lot of good things about bm. anyone know anything about the fenix l2t? i am thinking about getting a nicer flashlight.
